Just goofing around ...

Post by Rath Darkblade »

... so, I was goofing around with Audacity earlier this morning and created a (rough) cover version of Weird Al's "Since You Been Gone". :) I call it "rough" because I don't have the music score, so I don't know how many backing singers there should be, or when exactly they come in, or anything. (I just listened to the song over and over, and then tried it out over and over, until I got something that sounds good -- or at least plausible). ;)

Hope you enjoy! :) It's very short (about a minute-and-a-half). Obviously I'm not trying to sell it or monetise it, and I won't put it on YouTube or anything. (I don't want to get into that legal quagmire). This is just for fun. :)

Pretty cool. You should do "vocal instruments." :) Where you do the beats with your mouth and such.
This is something along the lines of what I mean with the same song.

Ah, great. Now that I've watched that, my attempt sounds very rough indeed! ;) Oh well. First draft and all that.

Also, that's what I get for trying to sing the tenor line (plus the others) when I'm only a baritone. I had to go into falsetto for a while.

Those five guys did a much better job than I did. *blush* Kudos to them. (But they forgot the little "cha" at the end!) ;)

It's not 5 guys. It's one guy.

So earlier today I took a walk in the dog park, which inspired me to write this - just for fun. :)

Top Ten Worst Nicknames To Call Your Dog

10. Ruff-ruff

9. Doggy McDogface

8. Sub-woofer

7. The Smellmeister

6. Barky Bark

5. Andy Warhowl

4. Chewbarka

3. Indiana Bones

2. Dogzilla

1. Arf Vader

(There are probably much worse and inappropriate names, like "Voldemort" or "Stain", etc. But most sane pet owners wouldn't use names like that ... right?) ;)
