Codename Iceman - Removing Restore Limit During Dice Game.

I am almost done with the dice game segment - but something happened today that I had not taken into account.

I was half way through the game (got the bottle and most of the money), saved and quit to take a break.

When I restored, he mentions, "You wouldn't be restoring to try and cheat me, would you?"

It counted coming back and starting from there as a Restore Attempt!

And if you consider you need to win the bottle, the money and the gadget... the game goes on for a very long time.

(And granted you DO NOT have to do this... you can get the bottle in the ocean... and the gadget some other way, if I remember...)

While I get the Restore counter and such - but considering how long the game goes, like many things in Codename: Iceman it impedes the game rather than adds to it.

I was looking at the SCIViewer thingie (3.0) - and opened up Codename Iceman and was wondering if anyone else attempted to locate where that Restore counter is?

I assume it's in 377 - because Script and text are both related to that.

LOL! I want to scream - but I end up laughing because the dice game is maddening!

He had ONE five. ONE.

I had three sixes. Rolled. Got one more six.

He says, "Let me see what I can roll."

And rolls 4 other 5's.

LOL

This bastage is cheating! No one is that lucky! :D

Either that, or the laws of probability are in his favour. 'Twas a good roll, wasn't it, sir? ;)

Is that normal in this game (i.e. that this guy always wins)? ;)

No, it's very much chance. I've already beat him for all three items (again) for my playthrough.

Now I am on to the first combat in the sub... Which is sort of the easier of the two.

Second one is where I'd been stuck at forever, when I originally got it. (I had not realized only certain missiles work on the second ship - just another way this game tries to dead end you).
