The Real Life King's Quest Soundtrack.

Is the game being a ROYAL pain? Need a hint? Got a problem? This is the place to discuss King's Quest!

Based on the entirety of each game (KQ1, KQ2, KQ3, etc.) - what would you say is the main theme/soundtrack (using non Sierra, but real songs)?

King's Quest 1 -
King's Quest 2 -
King's Quest 3 -
King's Quest 4 -
King's Quest 5 -
King's Quest 6 -
King's Quest 7 -
Mask of Eternity -

Going to have to think about this one. Off the top of my head:

KQ2 - Basically a Disney romance. "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" maybe. Also works for KQ6.

KQ7 - "Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves". Okay, Valanice and Rosella are mother and daughter, but you get the idea.

MOE - Ugly Kid Joe - "(I Hate) Everything About You" Self explanatory.

*thinks very hard*

*insert light bulb emoji* :)

Let's see:

KQ1 ... the story of a royal succession. So, obviously, Handel's "Zadok the Priest"! :D This is the music that plays at every British coronation. Here's what it sounds like:

The words:

Zadok the Priest
And Nathan the Prophet
Anointed Solomon King;

And all the people rejoiced and said:

God Save the King!
Long Live the King!
May the King live forever!
Amen, Amen, Hallelujah.

(This fits Graham becoming king, wouldn't you say?) ;)

KQ2 ... a romantic story. "Do You Love Me (Now That I Can Dance)" by The Contours. :D . It will also work for KQ6.

KQ3 ... a story about how Alexander can't stand Mannanan. So, naturally, "I'm So Sick Of You" by Weird Al Yankovic. :P

Or, maybe, "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister.

KQ4 ... a story about a fairy losing her powers. So ... "It's My Island (And I'll Cry If I Want To)" by Lesley Gore! :D

KQ5 ... a story about saving your family, who's been magicked away. So ... "Miss You Like Crazy" by Natalie Cole.

KQ7 ... "Respect" by Aretha Franklin. More respect for Valanice and Rosella.

KQ8 .. again, "I'm So Sick Of You" by Weird Al Yankovic. :P

What's your view? :D

"We're Not Gonna Take It" is a great choice for KQ3.

I think this could apply to every adventure game:

"I still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" :)

 The MoE song.

I can definitely see the Lion King song for KQ2 and KQ6!

I agree, the Twisted Sister for KQ3 nails it.

And yes, the U2 song for every adventure game...
