Holiday plans?

Thought it could be fun to hear what plans you all have for your holiday. :)

So far I'm 1 week into my 3 week holiday. This first week I have done nothing but relax :P

You know, don't get up until 9-10.00am, have morning coffee, maybe a bit to eat.
Turn on PC and TV. Check forums etc., play a few games, watch some TV all the while, lol.
Visit my mother who lives just above me and have dinner with her or help her with some stuff.
Oops, nearly forgot, that my mother and I actually took a whole day out to do laundry - 12 machines. Impressive, huh?

Next week I'm taking my mother downtown for a stroll and shopping.
And I plan to do a thourough housecleaning and redecorate my room.. shuffle all my furniture around.
That will be a bitch, since I can hardly move around in the little space I have, but after I should have more floorspace, lol.

The worst part about this, is the whole computer arranging etc. All those darn cables and wires etc.
And I also have to hook up my second PC with this brand new SOHO DVI KVM Switch and network hub. Oh and install an additional 4 GB Ram in my newest PC. Hmm, almost forgot I need a longer TV antenna cable.

The last week I leave open - have no plans for it yet.
But, it's the first time in 5 years I actually get to have 3 weeks in a row, so I'm enjoying it. 8-)

Well... I still have King's Quest 1 to 6 to play... Other than that I'll mainly keep myself occupied visiting second-hand stores and flea markets. And fun fairs. And photo trips.

I will be going to Belgium soon. First time in 3 years i'll be in my home country, seeing the family, old friends, have a nice Belgian beer next to the cathedral of Antwerp :). Looking forward to it.

Going to be going to Hawaii with Amiee and Paul soon.

I am sure there will be pictures and a thread I shall make sharing the madness that will undoubtedly be found while we're there.

In other countries (a lot of them) - they call vacations "holiday." Well I know they do in Australia.... so maybe that's not exactly "a lot" ... An Aussie friend I talk to all the time always says, "I can't wait to go on holiday to America again."

Yeah, I know a lot of countries use "holiday" to mean "vacation" (and I hate that since it makes no sense whatsoever). I just thought maybe someone knew of a holiday that I missed. :P

To me a holiday is Christmas (as an example). You can't "go on Christmas." Why? It's a holiday. You can, however, "go on vacation during Christmas." :)

I guess we here in denmark use the words vacation and holiday as we see fit, lol :)
I too would say christmas is a holiday, same with easter - although being off work is also a "holiday" ;)

But for me personally to use the word vacation, I have to actually be either "travelling" to another country or go camping or something - out of the house. May not make sense to you, but it does to me

Exactly. Same here in Italy ;)

Heh. Whenever I hear someone use the word "holiday" for "vacation" I immediately think of Sybil using the term from Fawlty Towers.

As for me, my parents, brother, and sisters came up from Texas for a week a little while ago. That was my vacation. Actually we moved to a much nicer area of the city at that time, too. So busy summer for me.

Wanna come with? Paul's going with us. So it's not like it's a private thing of just Aim and I.

We'll just strap Patrick on the wing of the plane. I'm sure he won't mind. ;D

Heh, I have seen the dude. I am pretty sure he could hang on no problem. :) Being that I like Patrick however, I'd give up my seat and go attempt to hang onto the wing rather than him.
