Exporting and importing characters Question

I've just finished with QfG1 the VGA version, and I used the installer off this website. I also have 2 installed. What I'm having trouble with if figuring out how to export my character from the first game. I tried saving it to the default and a place I picked, but I can't get 2 to find it. I can't even find where my saved games are going. What should I be doing to make this work?

Just drop you QfG1 save into your QfG2 folder.

I have a similar problem. However I can't find the file that I save.

It asks to save to A:glory1.sav

I tried C:Sierra\QFG\glory1.sav and C:\Sierra\QFG\glory1.sav. It doesn't save, nor is there confirmation in the game of being written, it just automatically asks to try saving again.

I have also tried C: and C:\. Here I get confirmation of it being written, but I cannot see the files in C:\. I also tried a flash drive, but that resulted in the same as above (no confirmation of saving, nor any new file on the J: drive).

If I could find the file, then I could move it to the QFG2 folder accordingly.

I am running the QFG Anthology game from the DOSBox set-up on Windows Vista. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, thanks for setting up the DOSBox installers to run the games really smoothly!!

I sort of had the same problem. It automatically fills the location with "a:glory1.sav". I just deleted this and then entered a name for the save file without any path like "C:\". The file ends up in the QFG1 folder or the folder that is mounted by DOSBox.

I guess you figured something out, though, but if anyone else has a similar problem...

Does this thread help? Sounds like a similar issue.
