... anyone here ever heard of the comic ElfQuest? The first couple of issues are kind of campy - but it's like no other comic you have probably ever read. The Original Quest (20 issues) is perhaps the most intelligently written comic - ever.

And now they're available online (legally) on the ElfQuest website. So for your benefit I will link the issues!

Stupid question: is there a chance to legally download them? Maybe in a .pdf format?

Richard Pini confirmed you can download and save the images of each page - you just can't repost them on your own site or anything. You can only link them to the Digital ElfQuest. There is no PDF version of the issues. Only page by page JPG pages.

Agh! A .pdf would have been so practical! :(

Yeah. I think they want the traffic going to the ElfQuest website because they're in the process of a movie deal - so they're trying to generate a stir about ElfQuest to show the foot traffic to their site. Which is probably why they don't care if you save the image, you just can't repost it elsewhere. Also maybe because a PDF version would discourage people from purchasing the re-release of the ElfQuest books (which were beautifully recolored).
