Ok I mentioned this inanother topic breifly but i wanted to get a more detailed clarification. In kq5 there is only MT-32 and adlib support, however in windows its sounds more midi than adlib. I was today looking in the gams config files, and it seems that ulike later SCI games KQ5 uses the same drivers for windos as it does for dos, and interestingly, even though the quality is higher in windows, it is useing the adlib driver.
My best guess is that my soundscard, creative audigy, is takeing the adlib synth and playing it through it's midi synths. My question is, is there any way of bypassing DOSBox's adlib emulation and letting it do the same, or failing that, are there any unofficial midi drivers that use the adlib tracks as source (as there are with mt-32 ones)?
cheers
