Not having played a game before doesn't mean you can't guess or ask questions - and google things if you start suspecting what it could be.

For example, if I was human - there's only a limited amount of people (10? 12? Not sure off the top of my head) who appear in the game.
And from there, narrow it down to "Are you male"
Which will cut that down.
"Do you have dark hair?" may rule out more.
So on and so on.

Just like the poorly described game where through clues I narrowed it down to Strike Commander which I'd never played before.
