Let's see - first I got Alistair (other than my War Hound). Then it was Morrigan. Then it was the questionable rogue from the Chantry - but I am forgetting her name (red head, short hair). Then it was Wynne. Then it was Svren (or something of that nature). Then it was...

Ugh - can't remind their name. But... SPOILERS...

It's the assassin that's hired to kill you. Hilarious dialogue with him.

And that's where I am at. The game is beautiful. The game is amazing. It's rich. It's...

Really. Bioware has done it again - in spades.

Zevran, right? He's the character that intrigues me the most, whilst Morrigan - at least judging by the various trailers and so on - I really can't stand ;)

Zevran it is. He is rather funny. And Morrigan - how can you not like her? Especially the dialogue between her and Alistair. I will actually stop what I am doing to hear those two talk back and forth. Absolutely amazing (and usually has me laughing on the ground) - especially Alistair because he's SO sarcastic - and such a DRY sense of humor about him.

One of my favorite lines is after some bantering between the two of them he says something like, "Oh look over there! A bush! Could you do me a favor and maybe crawl over there ... and die? Thanks." And the way he says "Thanks" is so flat - and so incredibly awesome. Whoever does Alistair's voice is amazing. Really amazing.

Well, I'm judging only by the trailers, since I've not yet purchased the game, but I guess that I'm allergic to her category, that's saying (and - I'll restate it - considering only the trailers) a snappy, sassy, highly sarcastic, often dismissive, manipulative woman, like Silk Fox in Jade Empire, whom I can't really stand.

I'm obviously generalizing, and I hope that, when I will play the game, I'll get to know Morrigan better, even if the characters that intrigues me the most are Zevran, Alistair and Wynne (judging from the official site's bios).

OGHREN - I have not encountered yet - but I am only 22% done with the game, apparently. The game is huge.

WAR DOG (whom you get to name, I named Trollbane) - I got. Not much dialogue obviously...

ALISTAIR - Definitely recommended to keep in your party. His origin is just beginning to unravel right now for me - and it's pretty awesome. Not to mention he's quite hilarious with his sarcasm.

STEN - I have encountered and got into my party - but um ... I didn't do it the so nice way of doing it. I think I should have come back later for Sten, when my stats were higher and I could smooth things over more... nicely. I haven't used Sten, since I am already playing a warrior and always have Alistair with me.

MORRIGAN - I absolutely love for her dry sarcasm. The dialogue between her and Alistair alone makes her worth having in the party. But she especially proved useful to me later, when one of your casters must go forward alone. She's got a lot of things to freeze people and then do damage. VERY important in combat. Not to mention, I actually like her back story so far. Though it's like pulling teeth to get anything out of her.

WYNNE - She's great for the party, usually have her; for the simply fact that she has healing magic. If I could just make her only heal; then life would be perfect with her in the party. As for her origin/back story - it's interesting, but so far, the least interesting of them all (aside from the dog - who, as I said, isn't much for dialogue).

LELIANA - Something tells me there's far more up with her and her "gift" that she has... I usually used her in the party for my Rogue, since I just acquired...

ZEVRAN - Who I have only used once. But I am in a new leg of the adventure and may use him just to see how he is - but then that'd mean giving up Alistair, Morrigan or Wynne. I know you'd give up Morrigan - but once you use her - you will see her magic is rather useful.

I saw it yesterday.

It was on a shelf.

I wanted it. And it me.

But I kept saying: "It's to powerful for you. You won't be able to do it justice"

Screw it. I bought it.

I installed it...

... It works perfectly! (Maybe the loading are a tad long, but I can live with them)

I've just completed the Mage Origin with a male elf and I'm now at Ostagar.

That's awesome! :D The system requirements aren't actually as high as some games from last year. It looks great, for the system requirements.

I'd like to try out the mage origin story sometime, but considering how long it will probably take me to play the game once, that may be a couple years from now. ;)

I unfortunately discovered that during mass scenes in the open the game severely lags on my PC, so tomorrow I will order a new machine right away. I keep telling to myself: wait for the new machine and then you'll play, but I can't stop.

I've just completed the Broken Circle quest and recruited Zevran, which is of course my favorite one :D

Companions that I like:
- Zevran
- Alistair
- Wynne
- Morrigan (you were right Tawmis)

And Dog - even if I am a cat-person - is just adorable.

Companions that I don't like:
- Leliana
- Sten

I was right about Supernatural... I was right about all games Bioware... I knew I'd be right about Morrigan!

(Rest assured, apparently I am only ever right when suggesting things to you - because in every other aspect of my life, I am usually very wrong!)

I have two questions for those of you who are playing and already are past Lothering. Just in case, I'll use spoiler tags.

After solving Broken Circle, I tried to return to Lothering but I can't. The map icon is gray and with a skull. Bewildered, I searched the net, and I found that Lothering is destroyed by the darkspawn as soon as you leave. But I never saw a cut-scene of it being destroyed nor I was informed of the thing by a note or whatever. Did I miss something? Did the same thing happened to you?

After Lothering, I went to the Circle of Magi first because I was a Mage, and it was fitting to do so. Is there any particular order for the other world quests that you'd recommend?

Thanks! :)

This is one huge potential spoiler so don't highlight it if you don't want to read it; but even still I tried to be as obscure as possible while answering the questions.

When you leave Lothering - watch the map load screen - you will notice over time, the "infection/blackness" of the map spreading from the south; that's the infection of the Darkspawn. Lothering is one of the first places destroyed; and if you listen to the character dialogue (when you talk to them) - they will even say that Lothering is doomed. So you get the impression that once you leave, it's done... Which is a shame because if you mess that up, you miss the chance to pick someone up along the way...

As for where to go - I don't think there's any order. And I also think it depends on the paths you take; and what dialogue you want to follow, what quest you want to do next; because I got my co-worker Greg into DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS by my constant ramblings of it while at work; and he got hooked. He's also a Noble Warrior, but has followed different choices and different paths; there will come a time where you're looking for someone and they will say where they went if you pressure them; he followed that path; I however, thought something was up with said person, and discovered they were murdered and found their real body after a fight.

Fortunately I got Leliana and Sten, which, ironically, are my least favorite characters. Anyway, I found strange that they showed us no breath-taking cut-scene of Lothering being devastated by the Darkspawn. At least I was expecting so.

Quite major spoiler below!

As for my next stop, I decided to visit the Brecilian Forest to seek the help of the Dalish elves, both because I'm an elf - and as such I sympathize - and because I know, from his dialogue with me, that Zevran would like to visit the Dalish, given that his mother was one of them -- and, my, what a sad story Zevran has, from his childhood to his last mission before Ferelden, it is a tragedy of loss and desperation

More spoilers.

The Dalish story is pretty interesting... I think you will enjoy what you find there. Some of the things you will have to do will be... difficult.

Oh! And about...

Here there's really no spoilers. I just wanted to ramble with a lot of text and make it look like there was this huge chunk of spoiler action! Wondering whose curiosity would get the best of them - whether they play the game or not - to see if they - you! Yes, you! - highlight what's here! And since I know this is just for Andrea - and I know you watched Supernatural's "Abandon All Hope..." - what did you think of that episode? Pretty gut wrenching! They're definitely wrapping up the final season and cutting off all loose ends! Such a shame, because I love this show! I just wish they would go back to some regular hunting instead of the epic storyline! Anyway, back to Dragon Age - I suppose I should stop rambling right about now!

Can you even BELIEVE that they would put THAT in a game? I was amazed!
