I'm going to have to say "Yes" and "No".

Since I'm an inventory item, there are lots of ways to narrow things down.

To answer your question: No.

OK - are you seen on the United States somewhere? (Building, port connected to the United States, etc)?

Again, I'm going to have to say "yes" and "no". Here's the original clue for a reminder:

There are two of us
One ought to look familiar
The other... useless

Um ... can someone please tell me which inventory items are on US soil (or in the US somewhere)? I can't just guess. :(

I'm relying on the Sierra Chest page for this. https://sierrachest.com/index.php?a=gam ... gh&pid=130

Are you somewhere in the ship?

Ah, yes. One of the WORSE parts of the game, where it purposely tries to dead end you at the start.

Are you the main character's ID card (because he's given the incorrect one when he goes back to collect his ID after speaking to some folks within the federal building)?

Once again, my post is gone. :( So I'll repeat it:

Are you the wrong ID (for General Marcus Hood)?

I suppose you are both correct.

There are two of us - The two IDs
One ought to look familiar - It will "look familiar" because it has Westland's picture
The other... useless - The wrong one that can't be used when you need it.

As for "yes" and "no" if found in the US: the right ID is found in Tahiti. The wrong one you get at the Pentagon. I was going to accept either one as the answer since both are listed in the inventory as the same thing. So I guess this goes to Tawmis for being first.

And I really hated that the game did this with the IDs. First, the circumstances where you give your ID to the guard doesn't make any sense. But then it becomes almost impossible for the player to even notice. It doesn't dead end the game, but you do miss out on a lot of clues (can't decrypt messages) without it.

OK -

I am not from where they say
Nor am I made up of what they claim.
But you'll need me to someone out of the way
To finish the game.

Oddly enough, you won't find me in an even numbered game.
