The larger case helps with heat dissipation. Modern CPUs may not give off a lot of heat these days (nothing near the old Netburst P4s) , but given the amount of RAM, size of HDDs, etc. there is still a lot of heat to deal with.

So I finally got the RAM. Running on the new rig right now. But one of the sticks was DOA. So I have to mail both back to get replaced (money down the drain) and hope that the replacements aren't DOA either. Really frustrating.

hehehe... told ya the HAF is a big case. Trust me though... you'll be glad you got that case, especially when it comes to cable management and case airflow.
