(Codename: Phoenix was a proposed sequel to Codename: Iceman. I remember it being mentioned in Interaction Magazine. It's unclear how far it actually got in development.

Yup, thought that was your clever clue to say it was Codename: Iceman. Because that'd take some very specific knowledge to recall that.
So not in a Quest game.
Are you in a Dynamix game (such as Heart of China)?

Al Lowe had planned a sequel to Torin's Passage as well.
So that makes sense.
Going to go based on that.
Are you on a screen where there are more than Torin and Boogle (as characters) visible?

No, not in Torin's Passage.
The "sequel" clue is a little more abstract than that.

Hmm. This can't be a GK game, since it's not set on earth. Groan. Not Lighthouse or the horror games (Shivers / Phantasmagoria etc.), for the same reason.
Are you in one of the Manhunter games?
I know those are on earth, but it's an earth that never existed, so I guess that sort of counts as "non-earth".
