King's Quest-Type Games
1.
Crown.
2. King Rath dons the crown and discovers the inside has needles! He's been poisoned and collapses! His daughter rushes to his side and finds a small needle in his hand!
Needle.
3. Rath's daughter discovers the needle is still dripping with venom. She takes it to the apothecary, who identifies the venom is Ocularis Singularum, a very rare poison that slows the heartbeat but does not kill the victim. The antidote requires water from a natural spring! But Rath's daughter's shoes have springs in the heels!
Spring.
4. She knows these shoes are magical. Bouncing up and down she says, "Bring, bring, this magic thing, Spring, Spring" - and the snow disappears across the land, and it's now Spring! Now she can travel the lands during spring to this natural spring!
Map
5. The princess uses the map to pinpoint the location of the natural spring. Luckily it is a Magic Map that teleports her to the spring (but behind a rock)! But when she gets there, she realises she forgot to bring a flask or bottle.

As she approaches and hides behind a rock,
she sees a lion kill a gazelle, and an idea strikes: why not tan the gazelle's hide for leather and make a water-bottle? But first ...
Lion.
6. Stepping out from the rock she asks the lion if she may have the gazelle's flesh (
this got dark for a King's Quest type game!) to tan - and the Lion says, "Yes, of course." But she suspects the lion just might be lyin'! She picks up a pebble.
Pebble
7. The princess knows the lion is lyin' because flesh cannot be tanned, only skin.

She lets the lion have the flesh and uses the sharp pebble to tear the skin, tan it, and fashion a water flask from it (that looks like
this!)
Now she can fill it with water!

But the problems remain: how to cork the flask and carry it?
Thorn in the lion's paw.
8. She sees the large thorn and talks the lion into letting her remove it. With the large thorn, she can now cap the waterskin.
Lion Mane Fur.
9. The lion refuses to give up its fur until the princess reminds him that she removed the thorn. The princess uses the fur to create a little furry cap for herself, though she's not sure why as it's 120 F.

She then realises that she can use the same fur to create a little furry carrying case for the precious flask!

With the flask now complete, she journeys back to King Rath.
Key to door of castle.
10. She uses the key to enter the castle, "Father! Father!" she cries, "I am here!" The poisoned king looks up, "Good! Dear Daughter did you get the magic water from the spring?" Her eyes widen as she realizes she never did.
