Let's Play Sierra Games - The Telwynium - Series.

Let's Play Sierra Games - The Telwynium - Book One!

While this is not a Sierra game, it is clearly made with the same feeling - it reminds me of Conquest of Camelot meets Black Cauldron. I wasn't sure what to expect - went in blind - and freaking loved it. There's two versions of my video (they're the same play through) one is full screen since the game natively plays 1920x1080, the other is where I push it into my standard "branding" type thing I have when I play.

Our own MusicallyInspired did the music for the game!

My original post about the game (and the links to grab them should you wanna play) - viewtopic.php?p=96458#p96458

Is this in the right place? *thinks* Shouldn't this be in the "Sierra Games - Other" subforum etc.?

It's not a Sierra game. Just modeled after one. :)

So I threw it in just the General Chatter.

I will throw in the Non Sierra games section though.

Fair enough. Your video said "Let's Play Sierra Games", which threw me off. I thought it was some kind of obscure Sierra game I had never heard of. ;)

I checked out their itch.io. MusicallyInspired wrote their music. :) Looks like a fun game. I think I'll try it. Thanks, Tawm! :)

It's called "Let's Play Sierra Games" because that's the name of my Youtube Channel. But I've played several other (non) Sierra, but (Sierra-like) games, such as SpaceVenture (granted, from Two Guys, but not a Sierra game), Blue Force (by Jim Walls, who made PQ1-3), but also Legend of Kyrandia 1-3, Les Manley 1 and 2, Tachyon Dreams Anthology, and I think that's it so far. But plan to play Gray Matter, and other "adventure" game types that are like Sierra games. That way the channel has a life-span of just Sierra games (which I will eventually run out of). I do have other plans, like making videos that are walk throughs (with time stamps and such). So there are other plans (should I, or the channel live so long!)

As for the game, it's a great game! I just finished the second one (which is a little tougher!) - but oh MAN, is it good. And it turns out the typo of "golem" isn't a typo - it's world specific lore.

They do make a few typos, but being an Indie game, I am not surprised, especially since it was made in like 2 weeks.

And now my commentary version of The Telwynium - Book One!

If you wanna listen to me blab about how much I enjoyed the game... this is the place!

The two are exactly the same (though the length is different by two minutes, which was due to where I trim/sped up) :)

But feel free to watch both! :D

And now onto BOOK TWO of The Telwynium!

After playing and getting used to Telwynium Book One - I had planned to do the traditional, next video is the commentary... but I was so impressed by Book One, that I immediately jumped into Book Two... and, wow! Was I pleasantly surprised AGAIN! This was an absolutely fun game that captures the retro "Sierra" type adventure games perfectly - from the graphics to the sounds... and Brandon Blume who did the music for this - knocked it out of the park. The game world feels very alive with a lot of lore! (I wish there was an opening cut scene to explain why our heroes are where they are!) I plan on playing Book 2 and 3 next and was pleasantly surprised to discover, there's plans for a Book 4, which would be the final chapter of the The Telwynium Saga!

You can download book two here - https://powerhoof.itch.io/the-telwynium-book-two

While it's not a Sierra game - it's very much a love letter to Sierra games (with the logo baring a resemblance to Conquest of Camelot, using the "SCI" font, etc)... and this is my commentary into Book Two of the Telwynium. I can't emphasize how great this game is - and in this segment I gush over how much I enjoy the game. I also talk about random things, like my life, my Corgi, her surgery, how much it cost... but I swear, it's mostly about how much I love this game!

If this has sparked your interest, you can download the game for free (strongly recommended!) from here - https://powerhoof.itch.io/the-telwynium-book-two

Let me know in the comments if you've played this game or if my videos were your first exposure to these games! I'd love to think that maybe someone out there has never heard of these games and now frantically downloading them to play them!

Or the full screen version without my Let's Play branding on the left:

The link to download Telwynium Book 2 is in the description of the video!

We continue our adventure in The Telwynium and venture into Book 3. (Only one more book awaits... but... it's not out yet! I got confirmation the folk(s) at Powerhoof are working on DRIFTER which is coming out next before taking a stab at Telwynium Book 4).

Finally got around to doing a commentary of Book 3 of the Telwynium over the long weekend!
If you have not watched my commentary on Book 1 and Book 2, you should do that - because the stories are all VERY intertwined.
And if you have listened to Book 1 and Book 2 Commentary, you will not be surprised to hear how much I just praise the game.
There are two versions - because the game can play natively at 1920x1080, there's a full screen version and then a version with my branding thing on the left.
Both videos are exactly the same commentary wise!
So pick your poison and sit back and give it a watch and a listen.
My goal is to reach 1,500 subs now! So feel free - if you click like on this post, swing by the video and give it a like too (it helps!) and if you are so inclined, a Subscribe too! :)
