Let's Play - Noctropolis.

Post by Tawmis »

Noctropolis had been a game my friend (Chuck) had gotten, because it feature a character obsessed with comics and enters the comic book world. Both he and I were very into (Marvel) comics back when this had come out. So this was right up our alley. I have such fond memories of this, because I was the computer geek nerd who knew how to program in BASIC (hey, that was a big deal back then!) and had written a few of my own little BASIC games compiled over to .EXE as Text Adventure games. But my friend Chuck actually had the better computer between us. So he'd gotten this game before I did, because mine would have struggled.

With my new method of using the nVidia to capture - I was able to capture it in 1920x1080. But I also did a "Brand" version (with the logo stuff on the left). There's also a censored and uncensored version, because the game contains brief female upper nudity (which quickly goes south, if you've played it you know what I mean).

Censored Brand Version -

Censored full screen version -

Uncensored brand version -

Uncensored full screen -

Probably when I get around to doing commentary, I will probably just do the full screen versions of censored/uncensored, rather than split up the viewership between four videos. (I hadn't thought of that when I did this)

If you've never played Noctropolis, I recommend it. It's a fun adventure game.

Not that anyone gives two $#!+$ but for the commentary - as I usually do - I inject my face into a scene... but on this one I did a few other edits...

The poster on the left was replaced with the New Warriors post (I run NewWarriors.com) - the book, left of the door, fourth row down is The Hobbit (this version - https://images.booksense.com/images/229 ... 071229.jpg - which was the version read to my 4th grade class that changed my life, I own the same copy - well many different copies of The Hobbit, but specifically that copy too) - and then the book to the far right, that is lighter color - is The Watership Down (this version - https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81l ... _QL80_.jpg - which was the original version I read after I was forever traumatized by my brother-in-law taking me to a "rabbit movie" - he knew damn well what the book was about and how the movie would be but withheld that from my youthful self) :D

I do not have the original media (my friend Chuck had owned this game). So for this, I played this one off Steam (but I also bought it on GoG as well).
