Re: 1983 - Dungeons & Dragons
Hold on. Why is this BBC interviewer talking to Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson? I'm confused. I know they did a series of books called Fighting Fantasy. But what did they have to do with D&D? Wasn't that created by a rather obscure chap called Gary Gygax?

Re: 1985 - Douglas Adams on Hitchhikers Guide Game.
I tried playing the HHGTTG game, but it is very very difficult to phrase things in exactly the same way that the programmers expected. I think the furthest I got was Arthur Dent's bathroom. *blush* I was brushing my teeth when the aliens vaporized the Earth.

A meeting with cheese, bread, corned beef, olives, and soft drinks??? Luxury! It's obvious this isn't from the 2000s onwards. In those, you're lucky if you get a donut. :P Bugs, bugs, bugs. Yep, I remember trying to debug programs in VB, COBOL, Javascript and C++, and pulling my hair o...

Re: Board Games craze...
Why do we play board games, or games in general? Because they're fun. *shrug* Does there need to be a reason?

Re: 1983 - Dungeons & Dragons
D&D ... a cross between a hobby and a cult? A cult of role-playing games? I remember Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, and those fantasy books (Fighting Fantasy). I still have some of them. ;) I remember Joe Dever's books too. Calling D&D "an empire" in 1983 is a bit of overreach....

Re: Play Sierra Games (and a ton of other AGI/SCI) in the browser with AGILE.
Um, I'm not sure what you're referring to, BBP. Ctrl+W simply closes the browser tab on the AGILE games. *shrug* What's so interesting about that? I have three more things to say about this: 1. Some of these other AGI/SCI games don't seem to have much point. I tried the "AGI 256 Demo", but...

Are you a duck?
(I know it's probably a stupid question, but I've never played this game.
And seeing as everyone always says that Codename: Iceman is such a horrible game, is it worth playing if I don't like being frustrated?)
