Re: Cool and Interesting News & Such.
That ravine looks a long way down from the road. How on earth was he not killed? And were his other dogs OK? =(
The dog who ran for help is a very good boy. I hope Brandon and his family give him lots of love and appreciation.
(Damn it! Were are these onion ninjas coming from? We also, possibly, could use a "heart" icon for the dog).

Not so cool, or necessarily interesting, but just funny. Thief stashes an incredibly pricy bottle of whiskey in an unmentionable place.
So, one ... firstly, I was interested because this took place in my part of town. Secondly ... how the heck did he think he would get away with this? =P
And thirdly ... ew. Just ... ew.
Needless to say, I anticipate an arrest very soon ...

That's elephantastic. Mary had better pack her trunk, because Ancali isn't irrelephant!
Jokes aside, that's not surprising. Ancali obviously also wants a shower.

Not quite the same ... the divorce one is moderately amusing. The registrar one is horrifying.
This, especially, gets me:
Here's another horrifying story: Billionaire Boss Wants You To Pay For The Privilege Of Working With Him
... 'cos yeah, that makes perfect sense.

How are they supposed to fix a birth certificate, then? I'm confused.‘The local registration service was advised earlier this year not to issue [corrected] certificates in this way.”

In local news, the town hall in Vlijmen was evacuated after a suspiciously smelling package arrived in the mail. It was very, very carefully opened by the explosives expert of the local police.
Who found it contained a children's book about farts.
I now kinda wonder if this happened to LSL7 sets back in the day.

That book's sales are gonna stink after this ordeal.

I missed this. Now I can't stop laughing.
Just curious, BBP: was it a publicity stunt of some kind? If so, the marketing department who put that together will not be smelling of roses.

Re: Cool and Interesting News & Such.
No, the book was a bit older than that.
But in my province on Monday, a daycare centre was evaucated due to a nasty smell. The fire brigade discovered the cause was a moldy mandarin.

So I guess we;re a cautious group of people.

Re: Cool and Interesting News & Such.
Nothing wrong with being cautious. It's better than ignoring it and finding something worse.
By the way, I can't read Dutch, but I recognised three words in the Dutch headline without peeking in the English or using google translate. I immediately understood "stank" (stink), "mandarijn" (mandarin), and "kinderdagverblijf" ("kinder day" ... um, and something ... sorry). *blush*
I'm not proud of it, of course. Those three words were easy to guess. The rest ... not so much.
