What's up with the error messages?

Post by MusicallyInspired »

Keep getting these error messages at random when I go to post, reply, PM, or edit a post. Just making sure you're aware of it. Next time it happens I'll copy and paste the message.

EDIT: Oh, there it is. Soon as I edited my post to say that it gives the error. Here it is:

Code: Select all

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

SELECT w.word_id, w.word_text, m.title_match FROM phpbb_search_wordlist w, phpbb_search_wordmatch m WHERE m.post_id = 11239 AND w.word_id = m.word_id

Yeah, Maia and I have been getting those a lot lately as well. It's usually when we edit a post.

Not seen that yet.

I suppose we could begin with asking...

What operating system and browser are you using?

Firefox. I haven't tried it with IE, Opera or Chrome.

I have upgraded the phpBB. Lets see if that fixes the issues.

Running the update seems to have sped things up.

Mr. C,

I just tried editing my previous post to see if I still got the error, and I did.

After manually replacing the fingered files I was able replicate the error, so the problem has to be in the SQL database. I am not really familiar with SQL, but the CPanel does have a repair function. Let's see if it is fixed, now.

Edit: TEST, TEST, TEST, TEST

Collector, I try editing your message to see if the fix worked even in this case, and it works. Problem solved! :D

Why was there much rejoicing? Were we forced to eat Robin's minstrels? ;) *waves a flag* ;)
