Selling off a huge Nintendo collection ...

Post by audiodane »

eBay item here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0693728821

Would be happy to sell outside eBay (will be listing at Craigslist and other forums as well), or within eBay ...on eBay asking $375 (fees).. would take less here (among friends)...

The thought of giving up all my Metroid games is about as hard as it would be to give up all my Sierra games. But if I'm giving away the consoles to play them, they won't do me much good anymore. I'm keeping my original NES thought and all those games (~40?) ... so that makes me feel better. :)

For sale is my entire Nintendo GameCube and GameBoy Advance SP collection:
  • Original owner (except where noted)
  • Meticulously cared for
  • Low Usage (GameCube < 200hrs!)
  • Never played with by children
  • Never chewed on by pets
  • Always kept indoors (in an entertainment center, then boxed up)
  • Always kept in a smoke-free environment
  • All items in excellent condition
This auction lot includes all of the following:
  • Nintendo Gamecube (Limited Edition Platinum)
  • Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP (Platinum)
  • Nintendo Game Boy Player Advance (RARE!) (Black) (*)
    • Play these games on your GameCube & Big Screen TV!
      • GameBoy (GB) Games
      • GameBoy Color (GBC) Games
      • GameBoy Advance (GBA) Games
  • 2x Standard A/V Cables
  • 1x Component Video Cable (supports progressive mode!)
  • 9 GameCube Games (plus rare preview disc)
    • Metroid Prime
    • Metroid Prime 2: Echos
    • Metroid Prime Pre-order Bonus Disc (RARE!)
    • The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (*)
    • Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II (*)
    • Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requium
    • Price of Persia: The Sands of Time (*)
    • Super Monkey Ball 2 (*)
    • Ikaruga
    • Gauntlet Dark Legacy
  • 13 GameBoy Games
    • Metroid II: Return of Samus (GB) (*)
    • Metroid: Zero Mission (GBA)

    • Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog (GBA)
    • Golden Sun (GBA) (*)
    • Golden Sun: The Lost Age (GBA) (*)
    • Super Breakout (GB) (*)
    • QIX (GB) (*)
  • 3 GameCube Controllers with Extension Cables
    • Platinum w/ Platinum Extension Cable
    • Black w/ White Extension Cable
    • Purple w/ Purple Extension Cable

Would you consider selling any of that individually? I'd be interesting in the Game Boy Player and Zelda Minish Cap as I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a copy since I lost mine. Is there any chance of that at all? I have a lot of the rest of stuff you have. But I'm a diehard Zelda fanatic and I have ALL the games except for Minish Cap which I lost years ago :"(. You think you can help me complete this collection again?

:D :D :D

Actually, I wouldn't mind throwing Metroid II: Return of Samus in there as well as I used to have that but my brother lost it.

Here's a question: do you ship internationally or just within the US? We've got some people from different countries on this board (most notably Canada, Australia and Italy) so before anyone gets too excited, we should probably know Dane's shipping policies.

Ooooo... I *totally* forgot about international shipping. To be honest I've never done it before. I'm hesitant just because I don't even know what's involved or how to go about figuring costs. I know customs would most likely be involved also since it's not just an envelope/letter. If someone overseas is interested and is willing to help me out to cover actually shipping/customs/etc fees, I'd be up to trying it out.

Keep in mind however that this is the North America (NTSC) version of the GameCube.

NICE collection! As I think I mentioned, it's been really hard to come to grips with selling some of these games. But they're not going to do me much good without the players, now will they? :(

I will think about it, but really would like to sell it as a set first if possible..

cheers,

Looks like a good collection.... and is competitively priced (individually, this would run about $385 USD before shipping). If I could afford it I would definitely take you up on it.

Really thought I'd sell it for my asking price.. but listing expired with no buyers. :(

Dropped price by $25 to $350. Relisted here. Also accepting (reasonable) offers.

thanks,

Well Christmas did just pass... so there may not be many buyers out there right now. A few months before Christmas is always the best time to start trying to sell stuff, because that's when people are looking for that certain something that they can't find in stores as a gift.

Now considering splitting up the collection ... So far looking at the following 'groups':

- Gameboy Player w/ Minish Cup & Metroid II (for MI... yes, PM sent! :) )
- GameCube component video cable (who knew they were so valuable?)
- GameCube w/ remaining games
- GBA-SP w/ remaining games

Working on chopping up the images today so i don't have to unbox everything again. Should have updated eBay listings soon.

cheers,
