Wow! That's a REALLY nice catch.

By the way folks, it's that time again. Selling more stuff, a bit more publicly this time, so if there's anything you're interested in, let me know.

The only one that I would have been interested in has been sold. The KQ1 gray box.

While these are not games (Sierra or otherwise), I figured there would be interest. Yes, that's a low-density, full height 5.25" drive on the left.

I was thinking I'd create a couple of external enclosures. Perhaps I'll create a special PCI slot cover with a floppy & power termination so I don't need to run the cables directly into the case.

You could throw one into a real DOS box so you can have low level access to the drive to use for data recovery on failing disks. Not an unreasonable ability to have for old disks.

Not sure, yet. Probably should find out before I go to the trouble

That's not a bad idea. My only complaint is the real-estate that a computer that only runs DOS would take up. However, I *would* really like to be able to play games in native DOS mode, with the reminiscent sound of the disk drive clacking away. Oh, and then I'd need a CGA (or maybe EGA) monitor for authenticity (never really was one for monochrome - except for text adventures!). And one of those super-heavy IBM keyboards with the awesome 'clicking' keys. Now I'm really kicking my own ass for throwing out (literally) my IBM PC-XT about 5 years ago...

After a wild day at the second-hand shop, I came home with a digital piano programme, Amerzone in box, Necronomicon and...
Gabriel Knight 3.
I'm really looking for the version with the "Isn't that guy famous or something?" line, and those unviewable BINK files.

My wife found a copy of the super rare PC-CDRom version of Loom at a Value Village last night! I believe that was rare even in the early 90s!

Wanted to share some pictures I took of recent additions to my collection:

Image

Space Quest I-III Signed by Scott Murphy

Image

Sealed copy of Softporn Adventure

Games that came in lastnight via mail. Biggest one for me is a sealed copy of Burn:Cycle (just a personal favorite).

More games that came in yesterday. Very happy to have finally landed a sealed DOOM. Also the Origin goodies!

Let me know what you think!!

Nice collection!

I took some pictures of my new Loom CD acquisition. I have the slipcase it came with, but I put it in a nice DVD case with some artwork I had printed out. Most of my LucasArts adventure collection is done the same way and looks quite nice on the shelf together.

I will be moving soon and the new place will have a much larger office that I can dedicate a wall cabinet/shelving system for everything.
