Could be. Usually if the 24 hours hasn't come up - there's a notice under everyone's name where the vote button normal is, that says "Your vote has already been accounted for today" or something.

Want to thank all of you who voted for me. But the gods, have made it next to impossible for me to qualify! This site, has a script that runs that shows close to up to date running... http://mymindstain.blogspot.com/2011/04 ... ntest.html as you can see, several have 1,000+ votes... It's turned into quite the popularity contest at this point.

Public voting ends on 5/02/2011 (5:00 p.m. ET). Users may vote once per day. The 20 recordings with the most votes will be deemed "Finalists" and will move on to round two.

It might be smart to just do a regular audition in future and not participate in any of those online votes altogether. I've got a feeling most, if not all, of those things get rigged some way or another.

I was discussing with someone else how easy it would be to cheat the voting. The voting is based on a user name that's logged in to vote once every 24 hours. It's not even based like IP address. So since I run several websites, I have the ability to make an infinite amount of email addresses, then make an infinite amount of accounts, and vote for myself an infinite amount of times. I didn't do that, obviously since I am sitting at 130 and others are/were at 1,000+. But I suspect some did indeed do that.

And I do participate in local auditions, but they're just as difficult. Even if I have certification for voice acting.
