I do believe, it's because her and her long time boyfriend broke up for a good amount of time; that now, it stabbed her insecurity and now she's overly concerned about her appearance. Because it all began around that time.

Well I should say she's with him again. They broke up for like a year. But even on the FB status it's says, "In a relationship with ______ and it's complicated."
