I have found that new systems often don't seem to like XP. Perhaps it is because the XP drivers for new hardware is are not optimized or other issues, but I have had a fair bit of frustration trying to install XP on new systems. I'll never do it for my self again, but when I build a system for someone else,l I have to give them what they want if it is possible. Installing XP on a modern system now is like installing Windows 2 in a system built for Windows 98. XP is a decade old system, ancient by computers standards.Tawmis wrote:words can not describe my hatred of Vista, and buying a new OS for it was not going to work, and when I tried to reinstall my Windows XP on it, made matters worse, so I reverted back to Vista).
I am reminded that the people that were the most vocal in their hated of Vista were mostly 32-bit users. 64-bit Vista was much better than the 32-bit flavor. People with 64-bit Vista were far more likely to be satisfied. Of course this is now moot with Windows 7.
