Sierra Poll: EGA SCI Era (SCI0/SCI0.1)

Next poll. EGA Sierra games with parser, mouse support, and music card support. Also, I realize that technically QFG2 is an SCI1.0 game, but it's not VGA, doesn't contain the advanced P&C system of the VGA games, and still has the parser, so I'm considering it an SCI0.1 game.

My vote goes to Quest for Glory II - Trial by Fire.

This is my favorite QfG game. From the rich atmosphere of the labyrinthine streets of Shapeir to the spellbinding timed story that always keep you on the edge of your seat, from the very different paths the three classes could choose from (ah, the Wizards' Institute of Technocery!) to the great characters that animate the city (Rakeesh!) - not to mention the breath-taking final confrontation - everything was perfect.

I went with QFG1. The whole char-sheet idea was different for Sierra, and I think they pulled it off pretty well.

I'm going with KQ1SCI. I know I went with SQ3 in the other poll, but from an engine era standpoint, I think KQ1SCI did it the best. It just had a great atmosphere and was lovely to look at and explore. And the game experience was great. Truly one of the better Sierra remakes. I wish they had done KQ2 in the same style, but my remake will have to suffice. A great gameplay experience.

QFG2 for me, although this was a very close race. KQ4, PQ2, SQ3 and LSL3 were also top-notch in this format.

I chose Conquests of Camelot. I know, normally I'd pick PQ2, but I really enjoyed CoC and I've always liked Arthurian legends.

I went for QfG2 too. But really, who can choose between SQ3, PQ2, LSL2, LSL3, QfG1 and QfG2? Truly a golden era for Sierra.

No, I'll be having an SCI32 poll...probably in two parts (one for classic style hi-res, and one for FMV/first person). I just mean after all the era's and styles have been covered (SCI32 included) there will be a final poll for the winners of each poll. If there are any ties, both winners will be entered into the final poll.

This was a tough one. I was torn between Quest for Glory 1 and Conquests of Camelot. I chose Camelot because I didn't think it would have many votes. I guess I was wrong. I probably should've picked QFG1, though.
