1: Leisure Suit Larry was kicked off first place by Trevor Barnes, who was then cut off the lead by Gabriel Knight in GK3.
2: Gabriel Knight! He makes me laugh a lot.
3: Mrs Smith (GK2), very annoying acting, and adding next to nothing.
4: GK3. Best story line, and my first GK.
5: GK2 cellar section. Epileptic colours, nauseating walking-around adding to the injury, and it's hard to work it out since it's timed and nerve-wrecking.
6: Library books in GK1 Day 8, and much of GK2 (wherever the puzzle was "go to another character to ask him")
7: Haemorrhoid Cream GK3. Even Gabriel can't believe it worked.
8: GK2 lead villain is easily the best built and extremely well acted. Killing him hurts.

Favorite Character: The Groundskeeper in GK1!
Least Favorite: That grumpy old lady in the Ludwig museum.
Favorite Episode: This is a tough call, but I'll stick with GK1 over GK2 for now, just because of the following 1) It has Mosely in it, 2) the graphic novel stuff looks cooler than the green-screen effects, 3) the music is much better mixed and the cues aren't sporadic, and 4) many puzzles in GK2 can be solved by accident. It might be fun to go back and forth between the games' strengths and weaknesses however.
Most Difficult Puzzle: The map in GK3.
Easiest Puzzle: "Not me! Shoot him!" Thanks for the free puzzle solution.
Stupidest Puzzle: There's a lot of guff about the cat mustache and the hemmorhoid cream, but... I'm a little more bewildered at the puzzle in GK2 where you need to put a lily on water so that the ghost of Ludwig II can fax you his diary.
Favorite Puzzle: Helping out Sam in GK1. Such a feel-good moment.
Best Villain: Grace in Chapter 2 of GK2 is easily scarier than any of the villains. I felt so bad for Gerde.

2. Which is/was your favorite character in the GABRIEL KNIGHT series?
Gabriel Knight, I guess.

3. Which is/was your least favorite character in the GABRIEL KNIGHT Series?
Grace, I guess. Her segments were boring.

4. Which GABRIEL KNIGHT game was your favorite of the entire series?
Beast Within

5. Which was the most difficult puzzle to solve in GABRIEL KNIGHT?
Map in GK3. If a puzzle is difficult to solve even with a walkthrough, then it's too difficult.

6. Which was the easiest puzzle to solve in GABRIEL KNIGHT?
Can't thing of any.

7. Which was the “stupidest” puzzle in GABRIEL KNIGHT?
Can't thing of any. I'll go with Datadog's answers. Those sound pretty stupid.

8. Who was your favorite “villain” of the GABRIEL KNIGHT series?
I guess the main villain in Beast Within. From what I remember, he was an interesting, complex character.

What was the problem with Serpent Rouge? I could solve that and I'm not even a native speaker.
(Well, aside from Ophiuchus that is)
Grace in Chapter 2 of GK2 is easily scarier than any of the villains

What was the problem with Serpent Rouge?
There's no problem with it as is - it's just a very challenging puzzle. And takes most of the game to finish it.
Favorite Puzzle: Helping out Sam in GK1. Such a feel-good moment.
Might switch this over to the final basement puzzle in GK2. It was trial-and-error, but it was so cool playing as a wolf and using your senses to follow the enemy. There was a nice sense of accomplishment once I started outsmarting him.

Speaking of which - I just finished GK2. Was anyone else doing the play-though or have we not started that yet?

As I said in the Chit-Chat thread I'm fairly busy with a project for Adventure Gamers and I asked you guys if you could wait a couple of weeks to start.

Guess the answer was no.

What project could possibly beat GK2 to you? (faints with curiosity) No need to rush on my sake though, I'm busy with Zappadan (Now playing: The Perfect Stranger)and my Annual Christmas Surprise.

1. Gabriel Knight.
2. Grace Nakimura. I love GK, but Grace is close to my heart.
3. So close with Mrs. Smith and Lady Howard. Over the top and annoying. But Lady Howard made some funny comments, including the chipper mood Grace was in in Day 3. heh. So Mrs Smith it is.
4. So tough. But I have to say GK3 because it brought me back into it. I played GK1 long before but I lost it. I got GK3 as a gift and it sucked me back in, working my way backwards. So, GK3.
5. The basement maze in GK2 plus pushing Von Glower into the furnace. My timing was off most of the time. Took me a long time to finish. Oy.
6. Easiest was mostly GK2. The interface with the dagger gave most of it away.
7. I gotta agree with Datadog on that one. It made me say, what the hell
8. Von Glower. No contest. Though I agree....Grace was hella scary in Chapter 2. Damn

1. Which is/was your favorite character from the ENTIRE Sierra Franchise?

Could you have possibly picked a more difficult question? Probably Hero from QfG, specifically the more mature, in-control, peak-of-his-career Hero from QfG5.

2. Which is/was your favorite character in the GABRIEL KNIGHT series?

Gabriel himself. Always loved his attitude and "the hell with it" approach to life. At the same time, there's a more serious, courageous side to him as well. Definitely not a one-dimensional character. (Also: Dean Erickson < Tim Curry.) :P

That being said, Detective Mosely is a close runner-up. Mark Hamil was perfectly suited to the role.

3. Which is/was your least favorite character in the GABRIEL KNIGHT Series?

Never cared much for Kriminalkommisar Leiber. Such a tightly-wound tool...I've never gotten along well with people like that. (Reminds me of my mother-in-law. ) Runner-up: Von Zell. What a jerk.

4. Which GABRIEL KNIGHT game was your favorite of the entire series?

Definitely GK1. In my opinion, it had the best atmosphere, the most gripping plot, the most engaging character presentation, and continues to have (for me) the most replay value. Furthermore, it wasn't saddled with the interface problems of 2-3. That is to say, the traditional point-and-click Sierra interface seems the best-suited to a game series like this. As "innovative" as FMV and 3d were for the time, the interfaces just seemed clunky and got in the way of the storytelling in the two sequels. A real shame, I think.

(BTW, I know you didn't ask it, but my least favorite in the series was GK3. Just doesn't hold a candle to Sins of the Fathers or The Beast Within, for a variety of reasons.)

5. Which was the most difficult puzzle to solve in GABRIEL KNIGHT?

Definitely the basement maze in GK2. Soooo frustrating.

6. Which was the easiest puzzle to solve in GABRIEL KNIGHT?

Nothing really comes to mind.

7. Which was the “stupidest” puzzle in GABRIEL KNIGHT?

I'm with Datadog on this one. The lily thing really made no sense at all.

8. Who was your favorite “villain” of the GABRIEL KNIGHT series?

Gotta go with Von Glower. Very interesting character.
