For the people that won or are close to winning, did you end the game still with a lot of credits or did you feel like you had to spend wisely throughout the whole game? I'm trying to decide how much I should worry about money and now I have the opportunity to choose 5% store discount or 5% power cooldown bonus.

I ended with over 70,000 credits. That's after I bought nearly every item at the different Citadel vendors and upgraded every useful weapon for my team and I.

I'd go for the power cooldown, but I was also playing a Vanguard. I needed fast cooldowns in order to spam Biotic Charge and Nova. Hell, half the time I didn't even bother shooting anyone. I was simply zipping around the battlefield smashing enemies.

You'll have the opportunity to gain multiple power cooldown bonuses (I had four of them, adding up to a total of a 20% bonus) whereas I believe that's the only store discount bonus. Without adding more to the store discount, a measly 5% doesn't amount to much. It doesn't even fully cover the 10% markup you have if you buy items on the Normandy instead of the Citadel.

I did find a bug in the game that causes Shepard to lose all his credits and fuel. It only happens when loading from an autosave, though - so constantly make new saves whenever you can. (Yes, SAVE EARLY AND SAVE OFTEN.)
So I'll probably just keep making new profiles and play a little until it gets boring or until they give me MY "right" ending, lol.
I don't know what everyone's complaining about. In the end, my Shepard used his paragon skills to outwit the Reapers, save Earth, unite the galaxy, and then settle down on Rannoch with Tali where they adopted Joker and EDI as their children and got a little pet krogan puppy named Mordin. It was adorable.

That's EXACTLY how the game ends and nobody is allowed to tell me otherwise.

Head canon. Gotta love it. :P

Hey Datadog, what's your Origin account name? Maia and I are looking to gather some people up to play co-op with. Don't know when this will actually take place, but it'd be nice to do something like that.

If we can sort out a good time, I'd be happy to try it out. My Origin name is... AngryMonkey2000.

DPX is DeadPoolMK and I'm ThiefVirtuelle on Origin. We're adding you! At least we're all in the same timezone.

Unfortunately, I never have very original online names, so Maiandra and Virtuelle were both already taken on origin.

I just arrived at the Citadel. Mars was a bit underwhelming, even if I'm happy to see Liara again, since the character is amongst my favorites. The game is extremely linear so far, and I hope that being on the sprawling Citaled right now, things will open up a bit.

Things open up a lot as the game goes on. The plot-related missions are more linear with decisions you need to make based on various issues, but side missions and scanning are very open-ended.

That was my first impression of the game as well. It's linear for about the first three main missions. Not necessarily a bad thing, of course.

Something I'm very surprised at was the character selection: Something I really enjoyed about the first two games was meeting all these exciting new characters and adding them to my team. In ME3, all you get is Liara, Garrus, Tali, Ashley with newcomers EDI and James. EDI is only a new-comer physically, and James seems to be another variation of Kaiden or Jacob (Shepard's standard-issue military bro-pal), so I'm surprised there's not much diversity with the team. No Krogans, Geth, Drell - not even new races like a Batarian, Vorcha or Hanar (I really want to see "Blasto 6" after listening to the audio version).

First you need to accept my friend request on Origin. ;)

I know! The cheek! :P

Actually, it is a bit of a hassle, because I have to keep coming up with new names and it gets confusing for people that know me in more than one community. Of course, I don't know that many people online anymore and, if they're that easily confused... ;)

We don't have anything going on during the evenings usually (nothing scheduled anyway), so pretty much any evening will likely work for us. Weekend days are a bit more iffy for us, since that's when I have Yoga (Saturday) and sometimes we go out and do stuff. However, it depends on the weekend.

And my weekday evenings are usually busy as well. But we'll figure it out. You can't be off-line all the time. :)
