There is a clamshell Tandy release. It's the same as the grey box release except in a clamshell case. I've only seen it two maybe three times in ten years on eBay.

There would also be releases for other platforms. I am not sure what localized versions may have been released, too. I think that most collectors would be satisfied with just the PC releases.

I just received this in the mail, grabbed it from Ebay. The seller let me have it for $10 because the box was missing.

Hey guys,
Once in a blue moon, something great will happen that is quite unexpected!
Someone had an announcement in the local paper about giving away some old adventure games.
I quickly called and was lucky enough to secure collection of some boxes he had stored which he needed to get rid of because he was running out of space.
Whats more incredible, is that this country (Denmark) is not really into their adventure games compared to other games back in the day. And even rarer to find people hanging onto old titles.
So this "discovery" is really rare, but I'm very fortunate to have found out at the right time.

now the pictures.....

So the result is 6 moving boxes of adventure games  :

Then unpacking a box, lo and behold:

Taking them home, unpacking and sorting, I found about 22 Sierra games :)
(All for the wonderful price of Free!)
All complete, nothing missing, nothing broken, nothing torn, all in great condition.

These are the other adventure/role playing games:
(The boxes are well looked after, I'd rate them from good to really great condition)

Some of the titles I recognise and would like to try and play, others (such as the role playing games) I'll probably offer up on eBay or something.
Not sure about the value of some of the games, but if able to sell, the money could be used to further my Sierra collection.

What a great weekend! :)

WOW  . I am SO jealous. I'm from dk too, btw :-D. Some of those games I recognise, normality as well as Toonstruck are both rather quirky games, Buried in time and legacy of time are both really great, I have no mouth and I must scream is a weird game, but if you understand the mechanics, it's a really great story (Based on a novel, btw). Despite being old, the dig has some of the most breathtaking scenery. I haven't played Blackstone chronicles, but my mom played it and thought it was ok, but not great. Broken sword is good, Discworld noir is pretty good too. Never got very far in Blackout, so I don't know much about it, but it seems interesting.

I have no mouth and I must scream a Harlan Ellison short story. It is also what Terminator was based on. Ellison probably had more to do with the game than the movie.

What a piece of luck! Congratulations!
I recognize Clandestiny, that works in the same way as 7th Guest and 11th Hour except it tries to play for comedy, whether it succeeds is individual. There's a number I have, but haven't played yet. I loved Monty Python and the Holy Grail! The other Python title is great too. Toonstruck is straight-up awesome!
There's a new script around: PHANTASMAGORIA - A Puzzle Of Flesh! Check the Script Party topic in the Bard's Forum!

Thanks for the comments guys, I was really fortunate :)

If anyone is interested in swapping some of the titles (non-Sierra) for some Sierra adventure titles, please PM me.

A little newer than King's Quest but still a piece for my collection. I've been after this copy for quite some time, I wanted the original original half life box. Seem's like everything is just selling the GOTY edition.

This is my collection so far... I also have Quest for Glory 1 remake VGA in box mint on it's way in the mail, along with Gabriel Knight 1 3.5" version, I already have CD. You'll notice Shiver's is still sealed, brand new scored it off ebay some time ago. I use to have quite the collection, however 15yrs ago most of my boxed versions of stuff was tossed out by my wonderful mom, she thought she'd make some extra room by keeping the floppies/cd's and tossing out the boxes. Nope, those wern't important at all... Oh yeh, also have Half Life 1 original box on it's way in the mail. I'm trying to rebuild the collection, eventually I'd like to have the whole Kings Quest Gold boxes, Quest for Glory, and Police quest, but sometimes you can score them cheap but on average they go for $30-60 on ebay so it get's expensive.
