Most of mine were bought when they first came out but after that, GameTZ was my goldmine. You can trade or buy. Not sure if they still have free accounts but they not only have PC games but other consoles as well along with movies and music cd's.

I would really like to download a copy of the original pixelated goodness that is King's Quest III, but I can only find the remake. :( Can anyone point me in the right direction, if such a thing exists?

New to KQ, or returning after a many year hiatus?

Either way, welcome! :)

Thrift stores and estate sales in western NY are useless for me and eBay/amazon are largely a waiting game.

Does anyone have any suggestions for finding some of the older titles?

Particularly looking for
Space Quest 1.0x
King's Quest 1984 IBM pc release
King's Quest II 1.0W
Police Quest 2.0a
Hero's Quest 1.000
And more

Hi,

I’m looking to buy the following early Sierra original FACTORY-SEALED games (MS-DOS versions).

Space Quest 1 (blue/purple box version)
Space Quest 2
Police Quest 1 (early version)
Leisure Suit Larry 1 (early version)

Willing to pay up to $600 per game depending on mintyness.

Thank you!

But that's strange considering it has a SCI10 release, of which all games running that particular version of the interpreter have a 320x200 16-color counterpart. But it did also get a second floppy release in the SCI11 interpreter which has a built-in 16-colour 640x400 driver. Perhaps it came out relatively quickly and so didn't bother making an actual separate EGA version.

I had copies of KQ5 and SQ4 in EGA because my dad had a Tandy 1000 at the time and had to send away for the EGA copies. Also had Rise of the Dragon and Heart of China. I acquired the others eventually as well. But they are indeed rare.
Collector, this is a post I made in the past. I don't remember writing it but it's exactly something I would say. Looks like bots are getting in.

Trying to understand - you're saying a spambot copied your post and posted it as itself?
Because that's from like 2012.
