Pinkerton Rd - Moebius and GK1 Remake News.
So with the kickstarters soon to be blooming and being released, I figured I'd kick off some threads for each "Sierra related" Kickstarter (or at least the ones I am aware of and funded).
Jane Jensen, who has done quite a bit of work with Sierra, but probably most well known for Gabriel Knight has made Gray Matter since her days at Sierra (which I have yet to beat, come to think of it) - with her next game being Moebius (as well as "MGX" - aka "Mystery Game X" - much speculation as to what that is!) - but what what are you most excited about Moebius? And did you fund the Kickstarter? What was it that made you want to fund it for as much as you did?
Note, you can share this easy, short, URL to bring people to this thread: http://tinyurl.com/moebiusSHP

Reason: - removed sticky since Moebius is out, Kickstarter is done, and GK1 Remake is released.

They released an E3 trailer about a week ago.

I am looking forward to this... (and need to finish GREY MATTER as well...!)

I enjoyed Grey Matter a lot. Wouldn't mind Jensen getting to work on a sequel to it.

I'd imagine if Pinkerton Rd does well, she would?

Re: Moebius (and Pinkerton Road)
I seem to remember that it already was among the games she pitched. So yeah, sooner or later.
Re: Moebius (and Pinkerton Road)
Moebius is looking really good.

Re: Moebius (and Pinkerton Road)
I've yet to play through the two chapters provided to the backers, but I must admit that, the last time I played a bit, I still found it somewhat unpolished. Even the dialogues felt a bit clunky (I'm especially thinking about Malachi and the inspector's one on the bridge). Still, it's obviously one of the game I'm eagerly awaiting for.

Re: Moebius (and Pinkerton Road)
Oh, didn't know backers already get to play. I must admit I'm a little confused as to who is doing what on the game. Where does Phoenix Online come into this, for instance?
Re: Moebius (and Pinkerton Road)
Jane has taken an interest in Phoenix's Cognition, but I don't think that they have anything to do with Jane's projects, outside of possibly being backers.

Re: Moebius (and Pinkerton Road)
Their name is all over it though (see trailer) and it's even listed as one of their 'projects' on the studio website. Has me a little confused [you may read that as 'worried'].
Re: Moebius (and Pinkerton Road)
I have not been following it that closely to really say what involvement they have had in Pinkerton Road, if any. I had assumed none, but if so, I understand your "worried" take. I do not mean this to demean POS, but TSL struck me as a very amateurish and juvenile take on the series. It does not make me hopeful for any other efforts on their part. It could be that experience and age will mature their talents, but that is yet to seen.

Re: Moebius (and Pinkerton Road)
POS is responsible, at least in part, for the... uhm... I'm not really an expert... technological development of the game? If I'm not mistaken, that's what they did for Moebius.
While I didn't really like TSL, I think Cognition was a huge improvement and I'm sure they did a similarly great job on Moebius. It's just... Well, it's really difficult to explain to someone who hasn't played the game yet. Let's just say that the game feels woody, clunky. It doesn't flow like it should and the dialogues, at least in the very first part, are a tad repetitive. Still, the story has an incredible potential and of course, as you can expect from a Jane Jensen game, the writing itself is really, really good.

Am I the only one who keeps reading POS as "Piece of Shit" as opposed to "Phoenix Online Studios?"

Re: Moebius (and Pinkerton Road)
Actually, I keep thinking that too. I don't know the studio name well enough to remember the acronym.
I've been avoiding playing it so far because I don't want to see it in that state. I really want to see the final, polished version of it.
