3. Is it just me or is there an obscene amount of melodrama? Maybe a little here and there would be okay, but each episode now has an abundance of such. Couple this with cliched statements and you have a recipe for disaster (unless you're aiming for a soap opera).

Tawmis, when I saw you know who die, I wondered if you'd make good on your threat to stop watching. You did! I too heard that they were supposed to improve Chapter 4, but the first episode doesn't seem much improved.

We'll see where this season goes. The big change right now is that the guys who've been writing the last three seasons got canned, so season four is under new management.

Yeah, when Said-Person bit it - that was it for me. Now if in Chapter 4 they do this supposed "reboot" (which can easily be done with all this time travel crap - where they change the past) - and if Said-Person returns through these means - I may go back and watch the Chapter 4 bit. But until then... forget it. Or unless you guys tell me that even without Said-Person, it's the best thing since sliced bread - I may give it another chance. :-D

But somehow I don't think anyone's gonna say it's the best thing since sliced bread. :)

Since I watched only the first two season, can I ask for a bit spoiler about that Said-Person? I'm curious :P

Tawmis...

Since you suggested Supernatural as a good series, I've started watching it. I'm loving it. Really.

But I have to study for an exam, and I can't stop watching first season episodes!

I blame you!

Which is exactly why I am delighted when I show I want to watch airs on BBC 1 or 2.(Ashes to Ashes needs to come back soon, the world needs more Gene Hunt) In these parts its just been announced that two of the commercial channels are going to do a 'test' with 'American style' commercials (3 mins of commercial every 5 to 7 mins) which just strengthened my conviction to never watch anything on those channels.

Sure...

They killed the character "Adam" who I believe was introduced in the 2nd Season...? He's the one that's essentially immortal. The thing is - I reaallllllly liked that character (as well as the actor who played him - as he was on the television show ALIAS also)! And they were killing characters left and right - and once they aced him, that was the big straw that broke the camel's back for me.

So... you're saying if you fail your exams, I am to blame? :)
Wonderful. :-D

I am glad you checked out SUPERNATURAL simply because I said it was a good show! Most people would not go on my word alone! :) I am even happier to hear that you not only tried it out but loved the show! I have all of them on DVD that have been released so far... some great stuff on the DVDs as well. The gag reels are hilarious.

SUPERNATURAL, for me, has yet to put out a SINGLE bad episode. I have thoroughly enjoyed every single episode. Some more than others but there's not been one yet where I said, "Mmmm, that one wasn't very good."

And we're on what - the 4th season now for the show?

That's a pretty damn impressive record.

Probably won't happen since nobody can time travel anymore.

Which, to me, is an improvement since the writers were idiots when it came to handling time travel stories.

I had recorded them when they originally aired here in Italy, since the subject interested me. Your opinion was the final pull to take time to watch it, and I'm glad I did! I've just ordered the first season on DVD (the only one available here in Italy) because the DVD will have the original voice acting, and I want to hear the American voices! :)

Oh, and I hope not to fail the exam!

I hope they don't do a "reboot" unless it has more to do with characterization than starting over. Too many characters have been brought back to life already. Death has become as meaningless as it is in the Marvel or DC Universe.

If the character really did die, they'll reuse the actor as someone else. I'm specifically speaking about Ali Larter. Her character died in Season Two (although we never see the body) and now she's some ice-powered chick who's Nathan's assistant.

Supernatural : Can't watch it, it just increases my blood pressure too much. Enjoyed the first season for the eye candy and then the show's patterns became too rage inducing and stupid.

Heroes: Loved the first season. Watched the second and couldn't take the bad writing anymore.

Its only just started but so far I'm really enjoying 'Being Human'

I finished Supernatural Season 1, and I'm currently watching Season 2 (I've seen three episodes). The more I see, the more I adore the show.

You did indeed. But it's painful... It's like a drug: I promise myself "Just another episode" and, in the end, after the closing credits, I found myself reaching for the next episode. I devoured the first season finale and I'm ordering every DVD box set already released! Moreover,

From the moment I realized that Sam's life could be in danger for the work of the Yellow Eyed demon and that Dean must know something, I really, really can't wait to see what is next.

Every new episode is so full of fright and drama, and now I'm ready to throw Lost off the window: this is the most notable proof of how much I am liking Supernatural, since I was too busy watching this series to even bother with Lost 5.04 :D

Supernatural gets better and better. "Ghost Fever" (in Season 2) is one of my favorites... the itchy arm thing... because of Dean.

And you must watch it past the credits...
