Yes, I'd meant a large resolution. My monitor isn't a wide-screen (it's 19" at best), but I also have a resolution of 1440x900.

I've given these a try and... *drum roll* It works! JOY! :D I've been trying to get this to work for years. Thank you, envisgeOne! :-]

If that's the monitor's native resolution, then you do have a widescreen monitor.

Widescreen doesn't mean big. The term just refers to the aspect ratio. In the olden days, monitors were generally 4:3 (with resolutions such as 640x480, 1024x768, etc.) These days, monitors will generally be 16:9 or 16:10, and both of these are considered widescreen. Your 1440x900, for example, falls into the 16:10 category. It may be a small monitor, but it's still widescreen.

Yup. I've got a laptop with a resolution of 1366x768. Although that's not considered small for a laptop, it's small compared to desktop resolutions. Regardless, it's still counted as widescreen.

A 19" monitor, with a 4:3 aspect ratio, would probably be 1280x1024.

Yeah, you're right. Not sure why I keep writing 4:3 when I mean 5:4.
