Re: SCI Resource Viewer v1
Interesting. It actually says version 1. Is this a newer version than I have? The one I have doesn't have a version number. The CLI tools are also bundled with mine.

Thanks, I already had that earlier version of the GUI version, but did not have any of the command line versions.

Re: SCI Resource Viewer v1
So the one you posted IS newer? Do you know what changes were made? I know that from my conversations with the author he had not played Torin's Passage and there was no support for viewing its resources. Was that possibly added?

You can view Torrin's with the version that I posted.

Re: SCI Resource Viewer v1
Right on! The appended "Version 1" must mean that all SCI games are now supported then.

Thank you for posting a copy of SCI Viewer here, Collector. I hope the official site is back up soon.

No problem. If he doesn't put his page up again, I'll just put up a page for it on SHP, rather than just this thread. If anyone has contact information for the author, I can offer him some space on SHP for any SCI projects he may have.Akril wrote:Thank you for posting a copy of SCI Viewer here, Collector. Even if he cannot be contacted, I can put up a page of SCI tools links and in the case of some that no longer have a home page, a download.

Re: SCI Resource Viewer v1
Maybe I'm out of the loop, but what does the SCI Resource Viewer actually do?

Re: SCI Resource Viewer v1
It allows you to open up the resources of the SCI games to see and extract backgrounds, sprites, scripts, music and sounds, etc. Take a look at Akril's site for images that she has extracted from some games.

Okay, I have to admit: That's really cool.Collector wrote:It allows you to open up the resources of the SCI games to see and extract backgrounds, sprites, scripts, music and sounds, etc. Take a look at Akril's site for images that she has extracted from some games.
