KQ6 Windows -- Low Quality Audio

I've installed KQ6 using the SHP Installer, and it works great! ...Except that the Windows version seems beset by low quality background music. I've looked everywhere for a way to change the audio driver, but I can't find a way!

I can get high quality working if I launch the game through the ScummVM launcher, but then there's no executable file.

The installer just uses your system's defaults for audio. It is not practical for it to do different as other settings may not apply to other users' PCs. Defaults will be based on what each PC has set for its MIDI device. For many (most?), this means that it will use the "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth", which leaves a lot to be desired.

You can install one of the drivers that allow you to use SoundFonts and change the default MIDI device for your system or you can manually edit the game's scummvm.ini file to match what fits your needs and taste. You can use the main scummvm.ini from the GUI for a guide.
