He passed away today at the age of 83, leaving a pretty incredible legacy, whether or not you liked Star Trek.

The weird thing is, Maia and I didn't even know Nimoy had died until we watched an IMAX film about space and exploration. When it over, someone in the crowd said something about Nimoy, and that prompted me to check his Wikipedia page on my smartphone.
