That one movie...
... You can watch repeatedly and never get tired of?
What's yours? Got more than one?
Was discussing this with someone - and we generated a personal list of movies (not always a "favorite" - but when it comes on, we'd watch no matter what!)

Blazing Saddles. Just about everything in this movie is quotable... I liked it even better than I did Spaceballs. I do like Mel Brooks' films.

Casablanca.
Re: That one movie...
I have about 50 favourite films, they're listed in my Favourite Film topic, but here's a couple even more special ones:
Karakter by Mike van Diem won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Feature in 1997 and it's my fav film at gunpoint, after my favourite book by my favourite author. (Still, the book is better. I even own a first edition.)
Kubrick is the best-represented director on my list, Clockwork is at gunpoint my favourite Kubrick. There's a few cases where the film is better than the book, but Kubrick found the "equally good" balance.
Howl's Moving Castle, Hauru no Ugoku Shiro, is the one film that made me wear a ring, that made me be Calcifer in our last Halloween Ball, that made me buy the Art Of Howl's Moving Castle book, that made me learn to play the film's theme, that made me make a Ducky spoof, and that made me Nihongo benkyo shimasu.
There's only one other film that I put a bill on, and for completion I'll add it:

Re: That one movie...
For me, to name just two right off the bat...
CLUE - Absolutely love this movie for all the quotes and humor.
THE CROW - (The original one with Brandon Lee). Such an awe inspiring movie and had a huge impact on me back in the day. (Spent many Halloweens after, dressing up as The Crow).

CLUE... yes, yes, yes! With (of the top of my head) Tim Curry as the butler, Madeleine Kahn as Mrs. White, Christopher Lloyd as Mr. Plum, Eileen Brennan as Mrs. Peacock etc...
Universal Studios are supposedly working on a remake, but it's been stuck in development hell for the last few years.

I've seen Clue too many times now - figured out that none of the endings work.

I don't want to see a remake of that movie. It's entirely too sacred. The cast is too perfect.Rath Darkblade wrote: Universal Studios are supposedly working on a remake, but it's been stuck in development hell for the last few years.
There is no reason to remake a masterpiece.

No, it won't. Because Hollywood is shucking out a ton of remakes for the new generation of kids unfamiliar with older movies.Collector wrote:That won't stop them.Tawmis wrote:I don't want to see a remake of that movie. Re: That one movie...
It'll ruin the movie for you; if you're sure I'll publish it on my site.

Re: That one movie...
I've seen the movie several times, so it won't ruin it.
Of course, you can simply send me a PM if you like...
