Fair enough. The PCs and NPCs fighting amongst themselves are usually much funnier (if not as dramatic) as combat. *nods* :)

Ineptness galore! And it is funny! :D What indeed could go wrong? Other than... everything?

I was wondering... why does Pawl sound like Peter? ;)

I also think that Grayson should be replaced by another adventurer called Mary. Then they could all re-train as bards and go on the road.

Other than that, for some reason, I can't hear anything about halfway through (when Grayson the Useless Ranger(TM)) says "Oh man!" about his marshmallows). What happened to them?

Fun stuff. Lots of bickering. Oh, and Pawl gets adopted by humans... and loses his map... and is afraid of bugbears. Oh dear... :P

So after the "Aw man" - Peter talks about after fighting the ice cube monster, green goo got all over the marshmellows... (Can you hear everything after that? Like after Pawl leaves?) Because I just re-watched it, and not hearing any issues with audio? This episode has a lot of muttered comments (like when Grayson says something about prozac, you can barely hear Peter mutter, "What's prozac?" while Grayson is still talking) but that stuff is pretty much just there, not to really be heard, necessarily - if you pick it up, good, if not - it's just mutterings. (And it's Peter who is the Ranger, Grayson's the fighter!)

As for Pawl the Dorf sounding like Peter - not sure? To me, they sound very different. Peter's voice tends to be a lot more high pitched (the only time they sound close, is when Pawl gets the fire going, and his voice is elevated). It's two different people acting (Paul voices Pawl the Dorf, and I voice Peter the Ranger) and no one has ever told us (in person) that we sound alike. (Of course, I don't necessarily sound exactly like Peter - I exaggerate his voice when I do it, so it has that higher pitch).

They do eventually meet a bard - but that's not way, way, way, later in Season 3. But - also, in Season 3, Grayson gets some fighter training. So that's something!

And the humor of the bugbears/trolls argument between Peter and Pawl - is that they're both wrong - as it's technically goblins who live in those caves (as we saw in Episode 11).

And most importantly - thank you for watching it, and commenting! I love this series with all of my heart, and it makes me happy to know others enjoy it. :)

Whoops. What I mean is that when Pawl loses his accent, he sounds a lot like GRAYSON, not Peter. I was thinking of the fighter, and thought his name was Peter. My mistake!

So why does Pawl sound like Grayson, hmm? ;)

Well it's only natural you think of Peter - he really is the star of the show and pretty amazing. And I am not at all biased. :)

As for sounding like Grayson - not sure, two different people. Maybe with they both have the same tone? They sound different to me (in the episode and in real life).

Oh god - "dessert village"...  A tasty episode! ;)

What does Grayson's sword say, by the way? And do fish really communicate with anyone, other than other fish? ;)

Fun times. :)

First the sword says something along the lines of, "He has the brain about the size of a fish's." (when Peter is discussing talking to fish)
Then he says something along the lines of, "I wish you would die so I could be free of you." (when Grayson is convinced that they're going to die in the caves)

I can get the exact dialogue when I am finished recording.

The voice is intentionally difficult to initially understand. As the sword bonds with Grayson more and more, the voice becomes clearer as it progresses.

Episode 14 in 1080p HD - "Here Comes The Sand Again"
(For those missing the reference, it's a spoof on the 80's song title Here Comes The Rain Again by the Eurythmics).
Will Peter and Grayson find their way out of the Arreis Desert? (Anyone notice something odd about the name of the Desert?) And where is Pawl the Dorf? Before this episode is over - one of them will be called "A Great Hero." How? Why? Watch the episode and find out!

Yep, I know "Here Comes the Rain again". Arries Desert = Sierra backwards, obviously. ;-)

I think I like Grayson's Sword and its snarky comments. "Oh God, he's a bigger idiot than you are." ;) Peter is even more of an idiot than usual. ;-)

What happened to Pawl? Will he make it out of the caves? :|

Fun stuff. Hopefully we'll soon find out of the two can make it out of the desert in one piece.

Grayson's sword - and the secret of it - will continue to unfold - and from time to time continue to make snarky comments. The Sword's name is "Pat" (which is just an acronym of Paul, Adam, Tawmis - the three of us who voice the main characters). :)

As for Pawl the Dorf's fate - he is about to have a very, very, very hectic time. What we did with his character was something I really enjoyed playing with. His fate is discovered before Season One ends. That much I will say. (Season 1, ending with Episode 21). But since I am redoing these; there won't be a break between episodes, so it will be pretty seamless.

Heh - you would pick the one character that we actually don't really see again until Season 3. As it turned out, Alan was slated to have a pretty big role - but the person who voiced him couldn't commit to the time to record the lines - so the character was shuffled aside - and another character (and new voice actor) took his place. I will just say, the role of Daniel (you've not met him yet) was intended to be Alan. However, the guy we used for Alan came back around for Season 3, so we focused on Alan's main story (the heroes have his pouch!) and were able to at least successfully conclude that story!

Oh goody! :D We still have 7 episodes to find out what happens to Pawl - and to hear more of Pat's snarkiness and Peter's idiocy. ;)

Who is Alan, again? I forgot...

Hah! Don't feel bad about forgetting! There was a lot of new characters being thrown in there (and most of them you will see more than once, throughout the series!)

Alan was "Alan the Astounding" - the Halfling (Drunk) Wizard that the heroes talk to about earning money - and he (Alan) gets upset about calling what he does "Magic Tricks" - and eventually passes out in the bar... and the heroes take his pouch of gold. (Because... that's what good heroes, do ... right?)

Like everything else in Neverending Nights - there's something about Alan's bag (that's revealed in Season 2) - all these tiny little pieces that seem so trivial and actually amount to something (a lot like the pepper flavored salt being used on the ice cube monster type stuff...)
"I am... ALAN!... The Astounding..." *thud*
