   I've never heard that, but it sounds just like Olivia and her strange beat-poetry bar. ;)

Oh, and...
Ashes to ashes
To ashes
To ashes
To ashes
To ashes
To ashes
To ashes
To me.
And then there's Manny's attempt...
ALL RIGHT!!! WHO'S READY TO ROCK AND ROLL?!

*crickets chirp*

Maybe not, then.

Holiday lemmings still, and X-mas lemmings which I hadn't played since the mid 90s. Pretty awesome until the music kicks in!

I've managed to use the sound files from X-mas Lemmings (two free packs of 4 levels, from 1991 and 1992) onto my Holiday Lemmings 1994. For some reason the 1994 game doesn't use the christmas carols the rest use, instead it has music from Oh No! More Lemmings!
Now my copy plays Jingle Bells!

(okay okay, so Jingle Bells is originally a Thanksgiving song...)

 It is?!? checks wikipedia and Snopes

Well, who'd have thunk it. :P Set(Rath.Mind.Blown) == True. :P

Then again, I've never celebrated Thanksgiving and never even been to America, so I wouldn't have known any of that if BBP didn't just mention it. Thanks, BBP! I feel a little less ignorant now. :)

As for Lemmings... agh! Those things drove me crazy back in the days of MS-DOS. I eventually gave up on them. ;)

*wanders off, singing "Oh! Jingle bells, Batman smells - Robin laid an egg. The Batmobile lost its wheel, the Joker got away, hey!"* ;)

Speaking of changing lyrics, I worked with SAP many years ago, and when it was time for the annual Christmas barbecue, I re-wrote "Jingle Bells" to be about SAP and the Aussie summer. "Dashing through the sun to a Christmas barbecue, / there's no need to run - there's enough for you!" etc... good times. 8-)

I finished Holiday Lemmings 94! :D

It didn't take me long to get nuts with the music - luckily somebody at the Lemmings forum informed me that I could hack the music (basically replace adlib.dat file with that of another Holiday Lemmings so I could hear some other songs for a change), and luckily somebody at the Sierrahelp forum (Qbix of course) informed me that Alt-F12 fast forwards your emulation, so you can use that as fast-forward button. Comes in handy with some of the levels! Here's the trick at work:

The 1991 Xmas Lemmings and 1992 Xmas lemmings (both 4 levels), and the 1993 Holiday Lemmings (16 levels) are freely available for download. :D

I personally really enjoyed it. It has a very annoying aspect, I have to admit. So as you know, the game was funded through Kickstarter - and one of the reward levels is "you name a character in the game"... so there's a metric ton of characters, that have unique names over their head (that seem like they might have dialogue, compared to characters who have "Warrior", "Hunter", "Local Drunk", etc over their head) - however, when you go to speak to them... Well, I won't spoil it - but let's just say "You touch their soul" and don't get much out of it, because it has nothing to really do with the game itself. I wish there was a way to identify who these characters are (maybe an * by their name or something, so you know they're "special"). Other than that, the game is fun; mechanics are easy to learn; the characters you find to bring on your team, are interesting - each has their own sub-story/quest to do, if you want; and all of your actions (even in terms of your party) have an impact at the end at how it delivers the "post credits."

It does take a little while to get into, I admit. It wasn't until I found a few party members, where I found myself getting into it. And it does have some portions of the game that are pretty freaking hard (but can be reduced by doing a specific thing, to weaken them; and some, are a literal constant battle; and I only found one enemy - who is not mandatory to beat, but is a part of a side quest - that I found impossible to beat at like level 9 - and the max character level is 12). I've not gone back to see if said monster can be beat with my level 12 team; but with how quickly it walked through my level 9 team; I am not sure I'd still survive. Even googles revealed a lot of people struggled with that one monster.

I've just got the X-Files Live Action Adventure Game:

It's a 1998 Windows version, so I assume it'd be the easiest to run it on my Win98 Dino...

Hmm, I never got into The X Files - I watched two-three episodes, but it never interested me too much. (I've noticed that about famous TV shows from the 90s - I loathed "Seinfeld", was bored by "Friends" and didn't care too much for "Frasier". Then again, I liked "The Simpsons" for quite some time. Go figure). *shrug*

They're showing earlier shows now but the thing is I really don't care about it.

And I love the Simpsons! :geek:

I just finished two different playthroughs of the Desperate Housewives PC game from 2006. I'd only played it once before, right after it came out. Though displaying a number of the pitfalls of tie-in software, it's a reasonably clever interactive soap opera. Alternate paths to take in various "episodes" do lend it some replay value.

I bought Turok 2 on Steam with some Xmas bonus money (among other things). I used to own it on N64 when I was younger but my N64 and all its games were stolen :(. I remember I never really got past level 1. The levels were so long and amazing like that. Very linear design, but what made it not linear was the ability (and necessity) to backtrack to earlier levels to find new secrets and necessary collectibles with powerups you'd gotten in later levels. I believe it was among the first batch of FPS games that started giving mission objectives. Anyway, re-experiencing Turok when I bought it last year on Steam was a fantastic experience and fun little game. But Turok 2 is just as amazing as ever and improved on every aspect of the first game. Love it. I remember the rest of the games kind of went downhill (in my opinion) and I never played the PS2 game or the XBox 360 reboot (which did away with all the amazing lore). I hope someday they'll do another Turok in the style and vein of the first two games.

I also bought:
-No Man's Sky (despite it's bad history, I was torn between this and Starbound, but Starbound is cheaper anyway and NMS was on a much bigger deal)
-The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves' Guild, Orsinium, Imperial Province
-Duke3D 20th Anniversary World Tour (mostly bought this for Lee Jackson's rerecordings of the soundtrack and the new 5th episode by the original level designers)
-Full Throttle Remastered (curious about the quality of the digital music by The Gone Jackals and if it's mixed and edited the same way as the lo-fi original game audio)

At the moment I'm way too engrossed in the hardest puzzle of the year, the one made by the NBV, a subsection of the Dutch CIA. I've been pummling all my friends with it so far.
If you'd like to help, let me know!

I'm currently replaying Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos. I'm not much for RPGs overall, but this one I quite like. I'm finally getting better at it, too; this is the first time I've made a lot of progress without resorting to a trainer or hex editor to max out all my stats.

I remember Lands of Lore... I don't think I ever finished it when I got it.

Will have to add that to my list to revisit one day.
