I used to play it all the time. That and Sierra games are what inspired me to do Final Soul - The Text Adventure game.

Cute, but Flash has become a HUGE hole in security. It is why so many browsers disallow its installation these days.

My current playing jam is http://www.freewebarcade.com/game/dungeon-and-puzzles/. It is fun but unfortunately it doesn't store game data (or my browser keeps on throwing it away upon closing so I have to start with level 1 every time I play.

Has nice music to it too.

My problem is he moves too fast - the door in the center is hard to reach because he goes up and down too quick.

That's the puzzle.
He'll move as far as he can in the direction he's going - he'll stop only if he runs into a monster or wall or crate (and more stuff but that's for the later levels). You can run into any monster and you'll have to use that so you can get your weapon, then kill all monsters, then go to the exit.

Oh. I get it - I thought it was a speed issue.

See if you have a Flash applet in your control panel. Under the security tab you might find a setting for storing game data on your hard drive and add the site to the white list.
