Have you looked at the top of the tower?

Re: My playthrough
It has been so long that I forget exactly, but you have to take one of the gliders up there.

Re: My playthrough
Gliders? I don't think I'm that far yet. But I guess that means that there isn't a way up there for me yet. The only other place I haven't gotten to is some sort of workshop that the bird-man closed off.
Re: My playthrough
Yep. You need to find a way to get rid of him.

Re: My playthrough
I had a theory as to how to get rid of him. I have the key to the barred window in the tower. The bird-man likes flying just outside. I thought the idea was to lure him inside and then lock him in, only I don't know how to lure him in. He enters that one time looking through the desk, but I can do anything during the cutscene.
Or am I completely wrong.

You weren't kidding. The tricky thing is not only dealing with abstract puzzles, but inventory items as well.Tawmis wrote: ↑Fri Jun 29, 2018 2:43 amRemember when I said it's like MYST but more difficult?notbobsmith wrote: ↑Thu Jun 28, 2018 8:29 pmI had a theory as to how to get rid of him. Re: My playthrough
I needed a hint. Rocks. I was missing rocks from the beach. Moving forward.

Re: My playthrough
Your playthrough sounds so much like mine.
Starting over, the bird problem, the rocks... this seems to be the Lighthouse experience. Just make sure you remembered to grab the clock from the house on your second playthrough. I forgot it on mine and it came back to bite me in the late game.

Re: My playthrough
I've been otherwise occupied for the past week, so I haven't played. I'll be resuming in the next few days.
Re: My playthrough
Sounds more like my playthrough of Lighthouse...

Re: My playthrough
I think I am making decent progress. I made it to another island and managed to solve the puzzle box in the lighthouse. I'm back on the first island. So the game is a bit frustrating at times. A number of times I've had to hunt down a hidden button or something, especially with the puzzle box. Finding inventory items is also a pain. With games that have text boxes or narration, you get clues like "You notice a wrench on the table." Here you find desks and table and shelves filled with clutter, but there are only a few items you can pick up. So I have to click back and forth hoping that I find everything.
Re: My playthrough
With the patches you should have the highlighted cursor when hovering over a hot spot. It might seem like pixel hunting, but it can give you a clue as to you need to interact with in every room.

Re: My playthrough
For me, making it past the intro was decent progress. This game is so insanely difficult. I honestly think I only got like 30 minutes into it before I was stuck way back in the day.
