The Sierra Crossover Event!

If you could do a crossover with GABRIEL KNIGHT and any other SIERRA game, which would would it be (and why)?

What about GABRIEL KNIGHT and a NON-Sierra game, which would it be (and why)?

I don't think any crossovers would be good, beyond non-canon easter egg appearances.

You're gonna hate the last few threads I created then.

In my head, naturally, this isn't for making a game - just something that'd be fun to see.

Like when you go on a comic book forum and see those "Who would win - Hulk or Superman?"
(In the event you're not familiar, Hulk is a Marvel Comics character and Superman is a DC character) - so it's just something for a fun discussion.

I get that. It's just that, for me personally, even as just idle speculation, it's not interesting to me. The games all have their own universe designed specifically for that series, so crossing the streams would have all sorts of awkward implications. For example, in GK, the supernatural is real, so if that crossed over with PQ, that means that there's now the the possibility for supernatural causes for the various crimes.

As for who would win in a fight between two characters, that's easy: whoever the writer decides should win.

And I get that!

I just like to try and come up with some threads that folks might enjoy participating in when the forums slow down - to have something to come back to the forums to.

We are of the same mind.

And I also get that. I would like it if there were active threads to which I could contribute (and also, and this is more difficult, ones where my contributions would be appreciated). We just don't have the critical mass for that to happen organically.

I wouldn't mind a one-off episode of Supernatural where Sam and Dean run into Gabriel. They teamed up with Scooby-Doo earlier this season, so it's not beyond impossible.

 Very nice, BBP. Did you draw this just for this thread, or was it something you'd prepared earlier (so to speak?) :)

I'm here to nudge it from time to time and recognize not every thread I post is going to be one folks will engage in. Some do well, some don't. It's expected. :)

Hah! I have yet to watch the last 2 seasons of Supernatural. Stupid DVR did something wonky and didn't record last season. So I need to get around to seeing it - but I've heard that the Scooby Doo episode was really fun.

I've never played this game, but I know Laura Bow is referenced as giving a lecture at Tulane. So since the two games are set in the same universe, perhaps Gabriel could team up with elderly Laura for her final case.

I consider that reference just an easter egg, not a confirmation of a shared universe. The Sierra games tend to have a lot of those cross-series references and cameos. It's best not to think too hard about the implications of those references being literal and canonical.

I know. Just an idea I was throwing out there.

That would be a fun idea. Although elderly Laura moving about would be odd. Although, they could do it like LSL3... have it swap back and forth between Gabriel and Laura. :D
