I just finished the penultimate chapter of my book, and written an outline for the last chapter (plus half the chapter, too). The book itself took me several months to finish, especially as I'm getting it critiqued and proofed before even thinking about agents, publishers, and all that junk.
I'll be sad when the story is done, but I can't wait to finish it!
