Sierra Game Challenge.

So, someone on Facebook - on one of the Sierra ones, or Classic Gamers one - can't remember where I saw it ...

Does a fun little thing. They will post a game, that they challenge everyone to play - no restores, 1 life only - to see how far you get in a game, either because you died (fell off the stairs, for example) or dead ended because you forgot to get something and can no longer progress.

I was thinking that might be kind of fun to do here? Especially with King's Quest games, which were notorious for death via stairs or Space Quest which was notorious... well, just for humorous deaths.

I don't know that everyone has the copious amounts of time to do such a thing... would anyone be interested?

I used to do this consistently every few months. Just play through a Space Quest or a King's Quest without saves just to see how far I could get. I've gotten pretty good at it, but it has been a while.

Yeah. Because, to me - it's not really about "Look at me, I beat the game without dying!"

Sometimes dying early on, is actually kind of funny (especially in the case of something as silly as stairs or a cliff).

I'd certainly be willing to give it a go. Heaven help me if it's one of the AGI games. Those suckers are TOUGH!

I was, but the "interest" in it seemed to die faster than you can die in SQ3.

EDIT: That said, I welcome folks to keep that idea alive, if they wish. Or just post it here.

I can go dig up the poll and merge it into this thread.

EDIT 2: Apparently the poll was deleted at some point, as it no longer exists.

So even that died a horrible death.
