BBP vs SQ (spoiler topic)
Re: BBP vs SQ (spoiler topic)
I got your clues, don't worry.
Take 24:
Now that I've beaten Astro Chicken the Ortega section makes sense. The game nudges me to throw a detonator into the transmitter opening which I manage to do without any flaws. I've even managed to flierljep my way up and make it to the ship without dying, surprise surprise.
More left to do. I set course to the new place, Pestulon. I land in a weird landscape, walk east and get in a tree. At Decision Time I keep selecting "wait" and this is getting me nowhere. After a while I tire and quit for a while.
Take 25: From the savegame I made after completing Ortega I visit Pestulon again, and get in the tree. I noticed last time waiting doesn't make the guards leave.
My guts tell me I need to enter Scumsoft with the invisibility belt. I'm not sure how. At the next Decision Time I click Scumsoft - and I'm jello.
Somehow Jello Roger reminds me of Donald Trump, but maybe I'm seeing things. After all I saw Trump in a Bosch drawing.
Take 26: Oh I get it! It's a timing game!
In the tree I count doen the music notes between two decision time popups. There are 25 and this appears to be constant. At the 22nd beep I use the belt. Not long after, the dialog box pops up and I head past the guys. No jello today!
I go through the elevator and end up in the circular hall. Moving around is slightly nauseating. The first door can't be entered. I continue my search, walk through a door, get in a mazy office and am jello. Spoke too soon.
Take 27: I need to save more often. I'm at the timed section again. I make it to the hall and save.
I search around and find a janitor's closet with coveralls. I wear them. My stuff is gone but I now have a vaporizer.
I walk to the office maze. The first check goes fine but as soon as I start walking towards the opening to the right, security's called and I'm jello.
Take 28: I try again, but this time I go straight ahead towards the other guys, looking around. It doesn't take long before the next guy calls security. I don't even wait for the drone and press F7.
Take 29: Now I'm lost. I've tried a hundred words to get to destroy my stuff (it refers to the earlier SQs but I didn't last long in SQ1 and never touched SQ2) but can't find anything. Walking back out is not the answer either. I'm vaporized as soon as I set foot outside.

This thread reminds me of the current POTUS's tax records.
Re: BBP vs SQ (spoiler topic)
Take 30:
In the closet I find the word "use vaporizer" works. Guess that's how they could tell I was an impostor - to get the bad guys to think I'm a janitor I have to act like one.
I dispose of the trash, find my spaceship, pick up the keycard an oblivious or gambit playing boss, walk along disposing trash along the way, find the xerox and copy the boss photo, find my way back to the entrance and manage to enter the protected door with the copy and the keycard.
Inside I find the controls, I free the two guys and am taken to a giant robot where I have to fight for my life. My playing's not worth much and I lose.
Take 31: All the way back to going into the keycard door - I spend most of the time saving over this file again and again. Finally I get one as I'm about to enter the bot.
Needless to say I lose the fight again.
Take 32 to 36 and maybe some more are all lost battles.
Take 37: I won! I managed to force the badguy far enough to the back to punch him over and over.
And we're back into the space ship. I'm not aware of being in control at this point. I'm suddenly under attack, look at the screen and engage in battle mode - the first shot from the back kills me.
Let's rest from this bot battle first before I go any further.

Take 38-44
The shooting section is utterly annoying - repetitive attacks and an air ship that sometimes decides to hang in a corner where you can't get to it... after getting a couple of shield depleateds I decide to savescum my way through it.
Take 45: I make it with SaveScum, save and lo and behold, I finished it!
So, final thoughts:
-This game was easier than I thought;
-Looking it up the alternate way of disposing Arnoid was the only thing I really missed
-unfortunately there were a number of sections I don't want to replay: Arnoid, Astro Chicken, Battle Bots and ship shooting
-How many death scenes did I miss? Shredder, snake, pod...

A ton of deaths were avoided, just by not typing something.

Re: BBP vs SQ (spoiler topic)
I have a request for those that are doing playthroughs. Please take screen captures through out the games, including death scenes. Use the builtin DOSBox capture for the DOS games and do not modify them. I want to add them to the Wikis.

Congratulations on finishing it BBP! Well done!

Re: BBP vs SQ (spoiler topic)
Are you wanting death scenes specifically? If so, is there somewhere that lists them all? Someone could play just to try to get them. In the earlier games, might even be easy with the TP console command.

I just want as many captures throughout the games. Death screens are wanted, too.

Re: BBP vs SQ (spoiler topic)
I have ALL the screens from the LSL games... though I don't think that includes death scenes. (Though there's not as many as SQ)

Forum keeps tossing me out, didn't have that on this topic before...
I'm working on the script now. We should have a definite answer then. In the mean time there are some fun videos on YT with Roland MT music.
