Yes, don't bother with change.org. I thought of signing a petition there, but had second thoughts when I realised how spammy they were. A good thing, too: a friend of mine gets emails from change.org at least once every two days.

As for the GK4 petition, that's been going on for donkey's years. I hope something will happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well... first, if your friend is still getting emails from change.org and they don't want them - they're clearly not doing it right.
I've signed countless petitions for wolves, justice for some dog or cat, whatever - on change.org - and usually get two emails before I am able to stop them from coming in, easily enough.

Second, not sure if it's the same GK4 petition, as I have been seeing this one popping up on gaming site as news for "gaining traction."

Oh? Maybe I was thinking of the Gabriel Knight 4 Campaign. It's been there since 2006 or so.

As well as being a campaign for GK4, it's a really good source of information about the real-life people in the GK games. I wrote an article for it about Ludwig II (from GK2).
