Going to clarify - the gender of the thing I've selected is uncertain. Because I don't think it's EVER mentioned in the game (I could be wrong). However, doing some research - the gender appears to be "male" (as I would have also guessed) based on something I found.

So it would have to be a first person game.

Are you the player character in Lighthouse? (although I have it in my head that the character is a woman. I'm not sure what gave me that idea though.)

Does it though? One of the questions asked is ambiguous - and may be throwing people off. :)

 No. Pretty sure, with confidence, the hero in QFG is male.

Also I was asked if "Quest" was in the title of the game(s) and I said "No."

Hmmm, maybe I need to thin out the list a bit:

Are you in a game released under the "Sierra" label and not one of the subsidiaries (e.g. Dynamix, Game Arts, Coktel, etc.)?

Yes, but you also said this:

OK, it's not a "Quest" game. So are you male or not? I'm confused. :?

The game does not reveal the gender (that I recall) of the thing I have in mind.

However... something I found online specifies a gender... (I will reveal it when it's guessed).

Are you the player character in Police Quest SWAT? (the first SWAT game that's played from a first-person perspective and uses FMV).

Actually the character (known only as SWAT Pup) is seen in the movies. He interacts with other officers and he interviews witnesses.

Are you the Manhunter? (who I am pretty sure is shown to be male but...)

Really? I don't remember that at all. I guess it's been too many years since I last played the original SWAT.

Anyway... what about the player character in Jones in the Fast Lane? The player can choose their sex, although in games (especially at the time JitFL was made) usually male was considered the default.
