It's not hard to add them in, although it would add another tier to the tournament since we're stepping outside the 32nd bracket (unless we have a three-way battle at one point.)

Actually, at this point, I'd rather not make any changes. But I do like the idea of opening up the thread to discussing other potential nominees. I hadn't even heard of some of those characters and now I'm enticed to check out their games. In hindsight, I probably should've pit April against Zoe.

What happens if there's a tie? I've counted up the votes and in a few of the match-ups, both characters are equal.

Hey Tawm, you forgot #6 (Bobbin vs Manny). Whether or not you want to vote on those two is your call, but you still got to list the sixth match-up. :P

I uh... totally did that on um purpose!

It was my way of um... saying, "I like neither of these! I shall not vote!"

Yeah... that's it...

Or I forgot ... and have played Neither.

So um... neither on there.

I'll base this one on who could kill the other one in a fight to the death.

1. George - Because, that's why.

2. Ben - He has a chainsaw with gas.

3. Actually, they would probably end up killing each other.

4. Alexander - Bernard got taken down by a clown punching bag.

5. Freddy - He could probably give Torin faulty medication. (He's also a gun-slinging deputy.)

6. Bobbin - He would just bring Manny back to life.

7. Willy - Yes, small children can beat up 40+ year-old womanizers. (I learned this from experience.)

8. Zak - He has chainsaw gas.

9. Johnny - He was trained for fighting hand-to-hand, right?

10. CAT FIGHT! CAT FIGHT! - Um, I'll go with Rosella.

11. Blount - He's a werewolf. Nuff' Said.

12. Roger - He will always survive through dumb luck.

13. Tex Knight - Urgh. They would both win.

14. I never liked Phantasmagoria if it wasn't written by Lewis Carroll.

15. Sonny - Would probably lose.

16. Klaymen - He would just uh... win.

I can bring in one more person to break the tie if that happens.

Or we could just bring in more people ahead of time to vote and see if that breaks any ties on it's own.

1. George Stobbart. I don't know enough about Woodruff.

2. I don't know either of these.

3. Adam Greene, I guess, but only because I don't know who Pepper Pumpernickel is.

4. Bernard Bernoulli, but only because I don't like KQ too much.

5. Eh? Freddy every time. ;)

6. Manny has to win this one. Sorry, Bobbin.

7. Larry Laffer.

8. Zak McKraken.

9. Laura Bow.

10. Princess Rosella.

11. Again, don't know enough about either of those.

12. Roger, but only because I don't know the other one.

13. Gabriel Knight, of course.

14. Again, don't know enough about either of those.

15. Both of them are awesome - I guess I'll go with the Prince of Shapeir, but only because his adventures go on for more than 3 games. ;)

16. Again, don't know enough about either of those. ;)

I'll be counting up the votes later tonight. Now would be the best time to influence the votes by bringing in your friends and trying to break some ties. ;)

Or I could post up the results right now since it's after midnight.

There were a couple of ties, but thanks to the help of the lovely Lady Justine who nonchalantly pointed out "ummm... the second one," we now have our winners for the first round!

1. George Stobbart: 6 / Woodruff: 5
George Stobbart's globetrotting escapades triumph over Woodruff's nasal control!

2. Boston Low: 3 / Ben: 5
Ben boots Boston back into outer space!

3. Pepper Pumpernickel: 3 / Adam Greene: 7
Adam scores one for nature, while Pepper brings shame to history buffs.

4. Prince Alexander: 9 / Bernard Bernoulli: 2
Ouch. Landslide. Bernard will be buried under that for a while. Alex moves forth!

5. Torin Fahrman: 5 / Freddy Pharkas: 6
Al Lowe's brain-children have battled to the death, but the guy with the guns won.

6. Bobbin Threadbare: 5 / Manuel Calavera: 5 + 1 Justine Point
Even a Weaver cannot escape Death's grasp. Especially when Death rides a hot rod.

7. Willy Beamish: 3 / Larry Laffer: 8
Sorry, Willy. You must be 18 or over to compete with Larry.

8. Zak McKraken: 4 / Queen Valanice: 7
And Queen Valance picked up Zak and kicked him over the fence.

9. Laura Bow: 10 / Johnny Westland: 1
Laura proves that beauty and brains always beat undrivable nuclear submarines.

10. Princess Rosella: 9 / Kate Walker: 2
Rosella wins! Dang, we should've set up a pool of Jell-O for that one.

11. Blount: 5 / April Ryan: 5 + 1 Justine Point
April wins! Blount turns into a werewolf and smashes stuff like the sore loser he is.

12. Roger Wilco: 8 / Jerrod Wilson: 3
Roger wins! Dang, we should've set up a pool of Jell-O for that one too.

13. Tex Murphy: 3 / Gabriel Knight: 7
The Schattenjager casts the dance instructor into the bowels of hell! Nooooooo!!!!

14. Adrianne Delaney: 9 / Curtis Craig: 0
Yeeeaaahhhh... Curtis? You're not allowed here anymore.

15. Prince of Shapeir: 5 / Sonny Bonds: 4
Close call, but vigilantes in tights still overrule proper authority.

16. Klaymen: 4 / Simon the Sorceror: 5
Faulty magic and British sarcasm conquer stop-motion button-pushing and lever-pulling!

A friend of mine that I was chatting with when tallying up the results. She has zero knowledge of adventure games and hates making decisions, so I figured it'd be fun to bug her about breaking the ties. :)

Whoa....

Now I'm kind of curious...was the Bobbin vs. Manny match done before or after Bobbin transcended? Would he technically even be alive at that point?
