No. Definitely story oriented. Lots of text. And the images barely moved, if at all.

I remember a computer game where I could kill people, chop their bodies up, eat them, and harvest their internal organs, despite none of this being part of advertised gameplay.

No, this game takes place in a fantasy world, not a sci-fi or post-apocalyptic setting.
