Computer, of course. I don't have a console. ;)

And no, it's not one of the Laura Bow games.

You've never played an ATARI, SEGA or Nintendo console? Ever? :D

No, not "of course." You asked a question much earlier about two console games (E.T., and Dr. J vs Larry Bird), and the rules don't state we need to have owned/played whatever game we're asking about.

I'm probably wasting my time by doing this, but here we go again: You have to state if the game in question was on the computer or a console.

And you've also forgotten to include a hint or clue...

Rath, come on... this is getting really annoying to have to constantly remind you of the rules. :Furious:

The weird thing is I don't recall you having this sort of trouble with other forum games on here, so what is it about this forum game in particular that keeps confusing you?

Well to be fair, he does partake in other forum games (and two of them are similar to one another - guess a Sierra item - and three clues to a Sierra item - which in turn, similar to this one - though this one is not limited to Sierra games, but still similar) - so there is that. :D

But yes, as DPX said, you have done a console game before in this thread. :D And yer supposed to give a clue if someone asks a question (if the answer isn't correct). :D

For example:

"No, definitely not Laura Bow. I remember the main character being male in this game."

ATARI, yes --- about a hundred million years ago. =P (No, not really. Just in the early-to-mid 80s).

Sorry, DPX ... I'm trying to play this game (and others) while in considerable neck, shoulder and head pain. :( The pain is especially intense in the mornings, and it takes about 2 hours for the painkillers to work. Since I try to answer these threads before and after work, I sometimes forget things. Please bear with me. :(

Clue: no, it's not a Laura Bow game -- and yes, the main character in this game is definitely male.

Is the main character a famous icon (such as Sherlock Holmes)?

Ah... okay, I wish you'd said something earlier. I can definitely relate to neck, shoulder, back, and head pain. I've had migraines since I was seven years-old, and within the last 10 years or so I've been experiencing ongoing neck and back pain that can be so bad it's almost crippling at times.

Anyway, sorry about being so hard on you. That sort of pain (and whatever brain fog painkillers may cause) can make doing anything a difficult task.

Tawm -- nope, the main character is not a famous icon (like Sherlock Holmes).

CLUE: the game itself draws on a famous book (but not Sherlock Holmes). :)

DPX, it's no problem. :) I didn't want to be a bother. Two painkillers usually see me through the day.

I hope your neck-and-back-pain settles down. It can definitely be a bugger to live with.

The Last Express? The main character is male, it's a mystery, and the whole "stuck on a train" storyline is one that's definitely been done for other mysteries as well.

Nope, it's not The Last Express.

Clue: the game uses, but is not based on, a famous book series.

How'd you know? ;) Yes, it is indeed Discworld Noir. I have many fond memories of this game, seeing as it introduced me to noir fiction (and now I have the full library of Raymond Chandler, and some Dashiell Hammett... I don't quite include Agatha Christie in the noir category, though).

Anyway. Your turn, Tawm :)

Is the title in German? (Or Swedish, or Norwegian, or Danish, or Finnish, or any of the Scandinavian countries)?
