Or it seemed to be because people were always playing it. I remember you were a part of an organization called the Special Tactical Advanced Alien Response...

It is! I was purposely being pretty vague because I figured if someone googled "Special Tactical Advanced Alien Response" - it'd pull up AREA 51.

Well, not too much - I did control F for portions of what ye wrote and didn't see anything pop out.
That said - the closest one that matches is Timequest, so going to put my finger on that as the game.

Nope, it's not Timequest, but that reminds me I have that on GOG. I need to try playing that.

Correct! It's an interesting game that never did very well, but in my mind definitely stands out, at least in its attempted scope and story.

The one I am thinking of was strictly for console.

They did make a sequel for the same console... I don't recall playing it.

Another game (the third?) was released on SEGA, I remember. But it was VERY different than the first two. And it didn't mark itself as the third... it just had a "title" for the game, like "Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking For Love (In Several Wrong Places" (though we'd know that as LSL2) as an example.

At least LSL2 does feature a dense and dangerous jungle. (Two, in fact).

At the resort, the jungle is dense, and when Larry comes out (in the guest room), he can die at least once.

On the island, the jungle isn't too dense, but Larry can die several times.

I'd say that LSL2 and LSL3 are the most lethal adventures Larry can have. (And they're oh-so-beautiful because of that).

By the way, was the LSL cycle supposed to finish at the end of LSL3? Just wondering. It ends with Larry and Patty together and happy. I love a happy ending.
