I think that's Area 51...Tawmis wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 6:49 pm I remember a game, it was released on Playstation (and a few other consoles) - but I had it on Playstation. It was a game that'd originally been released in Arcade and was SUPER popular. Or it seemed to be because people were always playing it. I remember you were a part of an organization called the Special Tactical Advanced Alien Response...

It is! I was purposely being pretty vague because I figured if someone googled "Special Tactical Advanced Alien Response" - it'd pull up AREA 51.DeadPoolX wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 10:18 pmI think that's Area 51...Tawmis wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 6:49 pm I remember a game, it was released on Playstation (and a few other consoles) - but I had it on Playstation. Is the game listed as one of the trillion games mentioned here:DeadPoolX wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 12:03 am I remember a PC game where the player works for a special agency and travels to various points in time to restore history by making sure certain events occur correctly or that specific individuals don't die. Part of the fun of this game was engaging in historical battles, and traveling to various time periods and places, ranging from the a very specific and well-known disaster in the ancient world to battles and wars in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Yes, this game is absolutely on that list! In fact, what I wrote in my previous post gives it away when reading the description for this game on that list.Tawmis wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 2:30 pmIs the game listed as one of the trillion games mentioned here:DeadPoolX wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 12:03 am I remember a PC game where the player works for a special agency and travels to various points in time to restore history by making sure certain events occur correctly or that specific individuals don't die. Nope, it's not Timequest, but that reminds me I have that on GOG. I need to try playing that.Tawmis wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 4:05 pmWell, not too much - I did control F for portions of what ye wrote and didn't see anything pop out.DeadPoolX wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 3:42 pmYes, this game is absolutely on that list! That said - the closest one that matches is Timequest, so going to put my finger on that as the game.
Well, then my next guess would be Darkest of Days which does the historical thing and also a first person shooter.DeadPoolX wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 6:33 pmNope, it's not Timequest, but that reminds me I have that on GOG. HINT 1: This game is a First-Person Shooter (but the story and character interaction makes it more interactive and complex than your average FPS).
HINT 2: This game was released in the 21st century.
Correct! It's an interesting game that never did very well, but in my mind definitely stands out, at least in its attempted scope and story.Tawmis wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 3:05 pmWell, then my next guess would be Darkest of Days which does the historical thing and also a first person shooter.DeadPoolX wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 6:33 pmNope, it's not Timequest, but that reminds me I have that on GOG. Easy... sure.
The one I am thinking of was strictly for console.
All good and fine, but do ye wanna try to guess what game I am thinking of?Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 4:20 pm ***WARNING: TANGENT*** (Sorry)
At least LSL2 does feature a dense and dangerous jungle. (Two, in fact).
At the resort, the jungle is dense, and when Larry comes out (in the guest room), he can die at least once.
On the island, the jungle isn't too dense, but Larry can die several times.
I'd say that LSL2 and LSL3 are the most lethal adventures Larry can have. (And they're oh-so-beautiful because of that).
By the way, was the LSL cycle supposed to finish at the end of LSL3? Just wondering. It ends with Larry and Patty together and happy. I love a happy ending.![]()
